This strategy won't work, for one thing, Sarah Palin is at this time the default un official leader of the Republican Party and Obama's changing parties will not overshadow Palin's message.
What about the huge numbers of black who still support Obama ?
What are they going to do ? and where would they go ?
This would only weaken the Democrat Party because those blacks would feel they were lied to by the Democrat Party and surely they would not join the Republican Party....

Imagine this. Imagine Obama going to Arizona and endorsing McCain. Don’t you think that would boost the heck out of whats-his-names’s campaign. Obama’s endorsement is the kiss of death. Rahm’s plan would have been this on a massive scale.
