Terry Moran believes that Justice Samuel Alito was Congressman Joe Wilson wrong when he inaudibly mouthed the words, Not true when he and the other Supremes where verbally accosted on the floor of the Congress by the president of the United States during the State of the Union Address. (see story)
Moran blames the victims when he wrote, five sat there stonily. Justice Samuel Alito Jr. couldn't contain himself. He scowled, shook his head vigorously, and mouthed what seemed to be the words, "Not true."...
There are many ways to write about what happened last Wednesday night. One way would be to write about how the President of the United States of America attempted to intimidate the Supreme Court via the State of the Union address using Partisan Democrats for emphasis while the whole nation was watching.

Should read “Moron blames the victims”.
“Lay back and enjoy it.”
If you can stand the dumb commercial at the beginning, here is a GREAT smackdown by Judge Andrew Napolitano (Youtube, and sorry, you've got to cut and paste) on this matter:

P.S. Sotomayor and Ginsberg looked pretty disgusted too, IMHO.
No other American president has criticized a Supreme Court decision like Obama did this one. From Dred Scott to Roe vs. Wade, our presidents have refrained from open criticism of the Supreme Court, which is a branch of the US government coequal to he presidency. Republican presidets have been especially careful to keep their hands off the Supreme Court. It is Democrats like FDR (court packing) and Obama who try to intimidate the Court.
This State of the Union, goes down as the one where Obama took a swipe at the SCOTUS. Not a great way to create a legacy.
Hey, what do you expect from the guy that gave credibility to Bill Clinton, and removed Carter from THE worst President list?
We can find this scary as heck, or hugely entertaining. I’d prefer the latter.
Obama is such a clueless moron, that he wasted the opportunity to ram his agenda down our throats. Instead, he spent the first year chasing his tail in Copenhagen, and eating shave ice in Hawaii.
IMO, when the Rats stood up at that moment, the Republicans should have walked out.
(I know...this is why I could never be a politician.)
In Worcester v. Georgia. Andrew Jackson is reputed to have said, "John Marshall has made his decision, now let him enforce it!"
THANK YOU. You guys are so smart...I am a total non-techy. (I’m embarrassed to tell you how long it took me to learn to format paragraphs!)
Not only were the Justices guests, but don’t forget, so was the Boy President. He was speaking in the chambers of the Second Branch of our government, not from the White House. As such, he was acting in a way that no guest should act!
Glad to help. I work with HTML all the time. here’s the trick:

Yes, a Democrat.
LOL...true. Of all our presidents, I'm probably most conflicted over Ole Hickory (with Teddy Roosevelt as a close number 2). He was certainly an old school a$$ kicker, the likes of which are rarely seen today. You have to admire a guy who nearly beats his own would-be assassin to death.
Alaphiah, great website and your coverage of this SOTU is terrific. Now I have to bookmark another site to read...oh my, we are cursed with all these great minds, lolz?
Thank you so much. If you are so inclined please join the follow list as well.
We are currently making decisions about our effectiveness.
Good wishes and Cheers!
