No other American president has criticized a Supreme Court decision like Obama did this one. From Dred Scott to Roe vs. Wade, our presidents have refrained from open criticism of the Supreme Court, which is a branch of the US government coequal to he presidency. Republican presidets have been especially careful to keep their hands off the Supreme Court. It is Democrats like FDR (court packing) and Obama who try to intimidate the Court.
