He has tape coming up (I think) of the leader of the NAACP stating this.

Glenn isn’t saying that he was a socialist. He’s saying that Julian Bond, head of the NAACP, said he was a socialist.

This claim was made by Julian Bond, Chairman of the NAACP. This was a calculated political ploy to JUSTIFY the current Socialist agenda of Obama and IDENTIFY King with the Progressive agenda.

Dear God, they are willing to drag King through the dirt to force this nation into Socialism. And all to deceive people — particularly minorities — into mindlessly following THEM and their twisted ideology.

He gets his information from Julian Bond, head of the NAACP, and is playing the audio.

Not so surprising really. Social justice is pretty closely tied to socialism.

Did Beck just say Palin is taking his 4pm slot? I didn’t hear it closely.

Was he joking or making an announcement?

In the 1950s, I don’t think King was a socialist. Stride Toward Freedom (his book in 1957) is actually quite critical of socialist ideas. By the mid 1960s, however, King was cleary a socialist and admitted as much

And flowers bloom in Spring time. I’ll still watch, but I doubt anyone on here is surprised that King was a Socialist.

Um, maybe. I know that King was a Republican until Kennedy went to bat for him. But we have to remember, the Dems of that era were nothing like the Dems of today.

Although I would imagine King would be proud of the fact that a guy with dark skin is President, I have serious doubts he'd agree with Obama's policies.

I thought “socialist” was one of them honky code words for the oppressed black community; Our USAG Eric Holder said so.

King dragged his own name through the dirt. Bond is not deceiving anyone on this issue. Read up on King's role in forming the socialist Poor People's Movement if you don't believe me. By the mid 1960s (when Bond knew him), he was very clearly a socialist. I don't think he was a socialist in the 1950s, however.

I wonder if Scott Brown is a socialist because John McLame surely is one.. very probably Mitt Romney too.. Actually many republicans are also socialists.. Take the Senators from Maine for instance..
