I don't want Sarah to campaign for McCain because I care about her, what she stands for, and conservatism. Read my argument before calling me names, please.

That is something I have to learn, to disagree with substance and stay away from ad hominem (or however you spell it) attacks. I hear what you’re saying. I’m scared we’ll lionize Scott Brown, too. Drudge has him for president and some of us for Vpres, of all things. No, he is just the best person we had going for our POV at this time and in his state.

It’s the policy and not the person!

"I’m sure she has her reasons....McCain’s “people” mistreated her and her family...."

McCain chose her as his running mate despite the objections from schmucks like Steve Schmidt - without the exposure she got from running as VP she would not have the national stage as she does now, would still be just a rather obscure Governor.

She is extending "grace" to McCain, a very tough thing to do - much tougher than seeking revenge.

She is a natural, a very saavy mover - I think she has calculated the pros and cons, her gut tells her "do it" - she knows that her name on the ticket is the reason a lot of us could pull the lever for McCain without having to (paraphrasing Ann Coulter) get stinking drunk first.

I would not go so far as to not support Sarah. I disagree with this decision as it helps a liberal. I am still a friend of Sarah’s, if anything, I think McCain owes her, not the other way around.

So you're basically saying..."politics, as usual" will work for Palin. I don't think so, and if you really believe that, there's a bridge in Brooklyn....

And do you favor one-party rule, closed back-room decisions, exclusions of all different points of view?

What is the real alternative to what you call "politics as usual"?

I was really surprised when Brown mentioned McCainiac in his acceptance speech, but thinking about it I see the logic. Mccainiac is like a kennedy with his time in office and political influence. Should Gov.Palin campagin for the senator? It would show her to be above the mucky muck of D.C. and show her class and savy.

I only trust McCain to do the right thing on the WOT. That is it. He reaches across the aisle and helps himself too much to trust that he will do something for Sarah in the future. If anything, he owes Sarah, not the other way around.

He owes it to Arizonans to stand on his own two feet and explain his voting record and philosophy.

He will do that. Sarah will just support his new honesty.

I did. Palin doesn’t seem to see her ‘brand’ would be diluted with McCain’s ‘brand’ by campaigning for him.

I am sick of liberal Republicans using conservatives to get elected,

McCain didn't use Palin in 2008 and isn't using her in 2010. Palin is a big girl. She knew back then what she was doing and knows now what she is doing by supporting a socialist light politician.

Um, I am publicly disagreeing with her decision. In the end, it is hers, I feel it is a bad decision. Read my blog so you understand how I feel about her.

States have elections too. There will also be elections in 2010. The campaigning is already under way. Helloooo.

No argument here but such a step would be an example of honesty and personal responsibility.

That's nothing to do with politics.

Yes well, one issue at a time and we’ll cross that bridge when we get to it.

“I would not go so far as to not support Sarah. I disagree with this decision as it helps a liberal. I am still a friend of Sarah’s, if anything, I think McCain owes her, not the other way around.”

It is mutual.

you are off point, and I don’t want this type of argument here. This thread is about an argument that you are not addressing.

What do you suppose Palin knows by her supporting Michele Bachmann?
Unless of course you, in all your profundity, deem Bachmann as "socialist light".

I agree. This is a bad move. This signals that I am part of the club. Wrong club.
