About a month ago, I received a tip from Larwyn on Obama’s Latest Big Brother Plan. To say it is chilling, is the understatement of the century. After I read about it, I immediately felt ill… I had not blogged on it because the last month has been hectic, but this indeed is something that will fundamentally ‘change’ all of our lives and not for the better.

The White House plans to expand the Office of Personnel Management. Most Americans don’t even know what this Office is, much less how dangerous it now is. First excerpt:

The Office of Personnel Management, (OPM), is suppose to be an independent government agency that is charged with managing the civil service system of the federal government. If you are a federal employee then civil service laws, rules and regulations that are managed by OPM govern you. One of the main charges of OPM is to administer and oversee federal health care provided to all federal employees.

The Director of OPM is appointed directly by the president and confirmed by the Democratically controlled Senate. The current director of OPM is a fellow by the name of John Berry who, before becoming OPM director this past year, was director of the Smithsonian’s National Zoo. — You cannot make this stuff up.

Last 2 paragraphs: This agency is poised to have tremendous control over each and every one of us. If each of us can be treated as a ‘civil servant,’ you can be disciplined as a civil servant. That means added fines if you don’t eat right, diversify enough or redistribute your income correctly. Punishment can and will include not only monetary means, I would wager, but the possibility of prison and civil service punishment as well. If the OPM decides you have transgressed, you could be forced to donate your time or serve the community in some other non-voluntary way. Get it yet?

This will make it possible to punish political beliefs and to punish free speech. Americans will virtually becomes slaves of the State with no rights if this is allowed to evolve. Feel managed yet?

Just like to say that what you imagine is going to happen won't, but it will be far worse. The second OPM quits managing FEHB tightly and lets those premiums increase to the 40% taxable penalty level, OPM will be in some serious trouble ~ the retirees know where they are and how to get to them.

Even their guard service could be turned into an enemy.
