When I stop someone and ask them how they are doing, I sincerely want to know. I like it when people talk about themselves. That’s why I talk to them and ask them questions! I want to find out what they think and how things are going in their lives. Being a good listener is also a gift. Sounds like this guy who wrote that article isn’t such a good listener or a good friend if he gets angry at someone for catching up on the news once a year.
