It's “ritualized” violence and tomatoes now. It will escalate on the left. And it will keep escalating until we decide not to take it any more.

I'm glad you pointed that out. I don't think you could find a more decent or intelligent conservative than Janice Rogers Brown. I wish she were more prominent than she is, not that I'd wish on her the special venom and hatred that gets unleashed by the American left on black and female conservatives.

Seriously though, your observation about what it takes to be a black conservative is right on the money. A lot of white folks think you're some sort of mutant, and most black folks write you off as a "traitor".
Water off a duck's back, as far as I'm concerned. I've loved my country my entire life, and I've never let anyone take that from me. In time, I had to wake up to the fact that the hard left had replaced the formerly patriotic Democrat party, and I left their camp to sign on with the Republicans. I had always been a conservative. I just didn't have a word for it. I just thought of myself as an American.
Once I sewed the right-wing conservative Republican label on my lapel, bridges started falling all over the place. Even family have stopped calling and emailing me now.
So, what happened to the egg thrower? No one put a carotid choke hold on him? If not, why not?
He'd better be glad that I wasn't there and within arm's reach of him. Only Sarah could have saved his butt if I'd seen him do that.
Not me, I'd rather the crowd go feral and beat their butts to within an inch of their lives......
