Politicizing Society: as seen by an Indonesian Immigrant
The Collins Report ^ | December 6, 2009 | Cindra Crisman

Politically Correctness is intended to politicize not civilize a society.

It is said to be racially motivated to question a morally twisted Middle-Eastern Army Officer shouting “Allah Akbar” before his shooting rampage toward his fellow countrymen, and yet it is not so to omit the WASP from the racial compositions of American society in a Social Study. “No one said anything about the WASP race, why is that?” asked my mixed-races 9 year old daughter.

It was the WASP Americans who framed and founded this Republic, and Politically Correctness views other races as inferior to this supreme achievement. If the WASP is mentioned it is not to praise him as a group.

By omitting the Founding Fathers race, the focus then is on other races accomplishment and their contributions to America. The expectation is for the WASP Americans to lower their pride in their superior deeds thus allowing others to boost their races on their mediocrity.

The belief is low self esteems held by some races should be overcome by affirmative action. So, if calling Hassan an evil murderer could cause further self esteem issues in the Middle Eastern community because it might make its members maladjusted the command is to quite up. It is the killing by the man to be condemned, not the race of the man. Why then should this condemnation be viewed as racist?

In the meantime, why is it not racist to put down WASP Americans by disclosing John Hancock’s race in his achievement? This is absurd, race shouldn’t matter. The WASP Americans should not be discouraged from showing their pride for framing the US Constitution and founding this Republic. Because of their solid resolutions for freedoms, not due to their race, they made efforts to be Independent from our ruling mother land, Great Britain.

Political correctness is cultural Marxism. Marxism has NO place in America or any free society.

“Does the WASP race include the Scots Irish?”

America's love affair with political correctness is the ONE thing that I have found almost impossible to explain to anyone overseas.

That and the "diversity is strengh" schtick which sounds almost like "Arbeit macht frei"

The writer is confused here. PCness insists the WASPs, or whites in general, are not superior to any other group, and that their superior achievements the past many centuries are due to the exploitation, and outright thievery of wealth and even ideas from other groups.

PCness is a mountain of lies constructed to tear the white race down while building others up.

And White Anglo Saxon Protestants are not a race, but the whites descended from the Angle and Saxon, Germanic tribes that overran post-Roman Britain and became the dominant groups in what became England. And the English were 90% of the white population in American at the time of the American revolution and founding of the USA.

WASP isn’t a race. It is a group. There were some non-Wasps among the founders. Rhode Island was Catholic. General Pulaski was a Pole. Lafayette was French.

I remember once as a naive teenager in the early seventies, after listening to a recording of Malcolm X and listening to the news, I thought I really understood this whole racial pride thing. A person should be proud of who they are, it makes sense. So there I am talking to a black coworker at a part time job, joking I raised my fist and shouted, “white power man”, after I had accomplished a task. After being disciplined for making a racist comment I had decided to rethink this entire concept. I went to talk to my father, who had just been disciplined by the union for telling a black coworker at his job that not all the pharaohs were black in Egypt. We had a long talk confused because we both had always considered the concept of race as something of a farce. Those called white in this country might actually be part, American Indian, Jewish or any other mixture and those called black could be just as mixed. The concept of race in this country is a social concept and political concept not a scientific concept. Finally we just shrugged and decided that life doesn't always make sense. There is a old expression, “never mind that the mule is blind, just shut up and load the wagon.”

Race is a real legitmate categorization of humans. It’s not just a social construct. yes the USA has more mixture than other places but still the vast majority of whites in the USA are all European blood. Most blacks in the US are about 20% white.

But only they United States has the stupid category known as “Hispanic.” Creating a “mestizo” category would have made more sense, but the Anglo-Saxon caucus among the elites never wanted to acknowledge racially mixed peoples.

All I know is that race is used for more political purposes then anything else. That is one reason I am not a Democrat they use race as a political tool which is something I despise. You are right that with modern genetics they can trace ancestry pretty accurately. What gets my goat is that with the way race is used. I prefer to judge people by who they are as a person. The liberals, the very ones claiming to champion “equality” are the very ones holding it back.

There is no WASP “race” in this Country.

Catholics get left out and so do the founders of Maryland.

Are Quakers considered “protestant?” If not, there goes Pennsylvania.

What about the Germanic people who moved into New York and the Mid West and upper Mid West? They don’t count? And the Nordic people who moved into the same areas? They don’t count?

Anglo Saxon: a native or inhabitant of England prior to the Norman Conquest (1100 AD)

SMACKS OF REVISIONISM!
