I’m no fan of Romney. In fact, he should never be given political power imo. But enough is enough. I think we have more serious and more dangerous enemies than Mitt.

It is too early to worry about trashing Mitt for 2012.

No surprise there, man. FR is cool because of the staggering volume of threads on a zillion different subjects, but I notice that everyone tends to agree with each other and the people who don’t... well, they aren’t around for long. If I had an opposing view, I would say it somewhere else. To tell you the truth, I’m quite probably walking on quicksand just for saying that much. Better to just agree or keep your mouth shut.
This is a great news site. If you want debate, check out TownHall or Ace of Spades. Not known for news, but the debate is pretty fierce.
I could not agree more. It is despicable, makes FR look like a real right wing hate site. I don’t think Mitt has ever killed a fly much less a baby. It is like they want to destroy everyone in the GOP except Sarah. Ridiculous, probably the same origin as the left’s diseased minds, definitely a mental disorder. I don’t care about Mitt’s religion. Freep mail me if you know any decent conservative sites that are not on steroids. I have not looked at many threads so as to avoid the pics. Do they really think this is doing anything positive?

But you are right here. Romney has pretty well killed any chances he has by failure to distance himself from the Fuster Cluck created by the People's Republic of Massachusetts. Whether or not the plan was implemented with the best of intentions, including participation from the private sector, is an irrelevant point now. The Libtards got ahold of it and turned it into a giant Fuster Cluck just as they will with any moderated version of ObaMao care.
That said, the vast majority of the Romney supporters are decent economic conservatives who we will need for any victory in 2012. The continued and senseless bashing at a Pinata which has already neutered himself serves little purpose other than making some people feel good, including the moonbat demographic whose main reason for hating Romney is his religion and not his politics.
Ironically, it is the moonbat demographic who stands most likely to resurrect Romney's nearly dead political prospects by turning him into a martyr with their bigoted invective.
I, for one, would prefer to spend my energies supporting Sarah Palin, than dancing on the political grave of the Bush Family's placeholder.

I agree with you, pissant. I'm no RomneyBot by any means, but it's getting a bit "over the top" lately here at FR.
IMHO, we've got much bigger "enemies" to fight right now... I would prefer we stay as unified as possible and focus on fighting Obama and the Left.
Well, it seems to have worked. Now instead of Mitt, the opener to the threads is Ronald Reagan. It IS time we focused on what binds rather than divides us.
The infighting and name-calling adds nothing to the conservative message or to recruit potential candidates .. who in his/her right mind would ever get involved in a campaign where, if they don’t agree 100% with one conservative wing, they will be lambasted?
Reagan and the libs/Dems have one thing in common: knowing that there are times you have to take half a loaf.
