I’m a former employee. Years ago. But I have seen, in the 4 states I’ve lived, the destruction to small business. I also am a former memeber of the Steel Workers Union. While working at my interview for Wal Mart, I was told plainly, not to try and unionize the workers. So, I have first hand knowledge of Wal Mart’s anti union stance.
I don’t think they were exactly hiding it. They know how destructive unions are to business.
Horses patootie. I worked for Walgreens who supports the leftists, they did the same thing. We were told by people to never mention unionizing.
All a union would do is drive up prices so that no one will shop there.
Are you sure you belong on FR newbie?
If you think unions are so great move to Detroit.
This pro-union crap ain’t going to sell here.
My Wife has worked there for 9 years. No one wants to be unionized, but that doesn’t stop the damned unions from continually threatening to force them to join them.
As far as I’m concerned, if the employees don’t WANT a union, they should not be FORCED to join one. Period.
The unions are nothing more than mobs dressed in worker’s clothing.
That's too bad. Unions have a wonderful effect on business; just look at what the UAW did for Detroit's automotive industry.
Wal Mart just doesn't see...
Is this what we want for America?
But I have seen, in the 4 states Ive lived, the destruction to small business.Odd. Every Walmart I have ever known ends up INCREASING the number of small businesses in the area. How is that possible?

You say that like it's a bad thing
Just one of many reasons to admire Wal-Mart!
‘Former’ union worker in the ‘former’ steel industry just about sez it all.
Kudos to WM for not letting another business be destroyed by a union.
IIRC WM distributed $1 B as in Billion in profit sharing to their employees last year. Not too shabby for a company whose employees are so dreadfully ‘abused’.
“So, I have first hand knowledge of Wal Marts anti union stance.”
It’s not just Wal-Mart that has an anti union stance.
Just about anyone who understands the destruction that is caused by socialism and socialist organizations has an anti union stance.
Screw unions.
Some businesses go under, others pop up when Walmart comes to town. Their presence does have its ups and downs. That’s life.
Can’t say I blame them for their anti-union stance. Unions today are destructive to companies and in the end, the employees.
So, I have first hand knowledge of Wal Marts anti union stance.
A stance shared by a majority of American workers.
I don’t like Walmart as I think much of what they sell is junk.
However, unions are working hard to destroy America so I have to side with Wally world on this one.
Sounds like everything has worked out fine.
Especially within smaller communities, WalMart is welcomed by most people, except for those that are living off the higher prices....
Cool! I need to go to Walmart more.
What about all the small mom and pop stores the union thug run grocery stores force out of business?
We used to have 2 small family run grocery stores in town. Then Jewel and Dominicks came in and ran them out. Why is that any different?
I worked for Wal Mart and worked for a union run grocery store. was paid better and treated better at Wal Mart.
And the insurance numbers the anti Wal Mart union thugs use are purposely misleading. They include in those numbers people who are at wal Mart as a second PT job and are insured at their full time job (which group I was in), young people still covered by their parents and married people covered by their spouses.
I’m not a big Wal Mart person but since a lot of the bashing is based on lies put out by union thugs I stand up for them.
And that’s a good thing. Piss on the unions.
