Wal Mart does it again. The Supreme Court of Canada has ruled in favor of the chain store. In 2005, the store in Jonquiree, Quebec was closed because of the recent union certification of the stores employees. This, of course, led to various court runs by the displaced employees of the store. At the end of 2005, the Quebec Labor Board ordered Wal Mart to compensate the former employees. (http://wakeupwalmart.com/facts/) Friday, the Supreme Court of Canada has seen fit to rule 4-3 in favor of the company. As usual

I’m a former employee. Years ago. But I have seen, in the 4 states I’ve lived, the destruction to small business. I also am a former memeber of the Steel Workers Union. While working at my interview for Wal Mart, I was told plainly, not to try and unionize the workers. So, I have first hand knowledge of Wal Mart’s anti union stance.

I don’t think they were exactly hiding it. They know how destructive unions are to business.

Horses patootie. I worked for Walgreens who supports the leftists, they did the same thing. We were told by people to never mention unionizing.
All a union would do is drive up prices so that no one will shop there.
Are you sure you belong on FR newbie?

Good for Wal Mart. They hate those corrupt Unions almost as much as I do. They are in the top three of reasons our country is going down the toilet. They are right behind Crooked Politicians (who love unions). They were crooks back in Al Capone's days and have grown worse since.

My Wife has worked there for 9 years. No one wants to be unionized, but that doesn’t stop the damned unions from continually threatening to force them to join them.
As far as I’m concerned, if the employees don’t WANT a union, they should not be FORCED to join one. Period.
The unions are nothing more than mobs dressed in worker’s clothing.

The UAW-Ford contract. You know this has to make managing the business a breeze for Ford, right?

While working at my interview for Wal Mart, I was told plainly, not to try and unionize the workers. So, I have first hand knowledge of Wal Marts anti union stance. That's too bad. Unions have a wonderful effect on business; just look at what the UAW did for Detroit's automotive industry.
Wal Mart just doesn't see...

Note, a Google search on "SEIU thugs" yields 204,000 hits.

I should have checked first, you post crap from your blog and don’t come back and support your assertions.
I will not give your blog a hit so I can only guess that it is all garbage.
Go away noobie and take your Odinga supporting commie crap with you.

Odd. Every Walmart I have ever known ends up INCREASING the number of small businesses in the area. How is that possible?

Work for me, get told the same thing. What is your point?

You're being too harsh. mshoffner is right to extole the wonders of unions. As I said before, look at the amazing growth of Detroit.
Walking through the city at noon on a business day is reminiscent of The Mary Celeste.
Do you think you could enjoy that experience when impertinent workers are allowed to think for themselves? I doubt it!
