Olara Otunnu (Harvard Law, 1978) relating the remark of Kenyan historian Ali Mazrui on the oddity that a member of Kenya’s Luo tribe (Barack Obama, a Kenyan citizen and Luo tribe member from birth) may become president of the United States before a Luo tribe member becomes president of Kenya. “Town Hall Forum: An Examination of Race, Age, Gender & Religion in the 2008 Election,” Harvard Law School Reunions, Oct. 25, 2008, 9:15 a.m. (Austin Hall, 1st Floor, West), at 60:17 mark.

Notice that it is a Kenyan historian that states Barack Obama is a Kenyan citizen and Luo tribe member from BIRTH!

US Natural Born citizen = US Citizen + US Allegiance + US Jurisdiction

Obama is a British subject, allegiance to the British Crown, under the British Nationality Act of 1948

Remember this was done BEFORE the election, but after numerous requests during the primary for Barack Hussein Obama to PROVE his eligibility per the United States Constitution. After the election the Kenyan Parliment stated the following;

He was a Kenyan citizen because his father was a Kenyan citizen. He lost his Kenyan citizenship at age 18.

But that didn't cause him to revert to "natural born citizen."

The U.S. Congress can NOT bestow U.S. natural born status either. U.S. natural born status is a condition similar to race. It is an intrinsic quality. A person must be born with it, but unlike race, a person can renounce or neglect to maintain his citizenship.

An honest man would be **HONORED** to prove in every way possible that he is a natural born citizen and eligible to be president and Commander and Chief.

If one or several of the states propose legislation that would require future presidential candidates to produce birth certificates, college transcripts and full medical records, I would be supportive of that legislation.

However, no such laws exist today and you cannot turn back the clock.

They were not born a member of the tribe, so no. But actually whether Obama was a Kenyan citizen, British subject, and/or Luo tribesman at birth is irrelevant. What is relevant is that his father was not a US citizen.

His father being a Brit Subject makes him a natural born British subject, probably, under British law. But that is nearly irrelevant as well.

Actually, no American can accept such honors without Congressional approval if they come with a title of nobility. An American who holds office cannot even be knighted without that approval.

Why that is kinda funny considering that the "birthers" have had a tendency of late to manufacture evidence regarding Obama's status as a natural born citizen.

First there was the Maya BC that was altered to be Barack's BC. Second, there was the fact floated that Obama travelled to Pakistan when it was illegal for Americans to travel to Pakistan.

Third, Fake Kenyan BC # 1 that many 'birthers' fell for.

Fourth, Fake Kenyan BC # 2 that Lucas Smith produced.

And now there is the video tape of Obama "proudly touting his Kenyan birth." And for some reason, the tape that allegedly was recored when Obama was debating Alan Keyes has not surfaced, even though Keyes has filed lawsuits challenging Obama's eligibility. It would seem to me that such a tape would have been entered into evidence or released sometime before the 2008 election.

As for my theory, I believe that Obama was born in Hawaii and while being constitutionally qualified for the office, is not necessarily intellectually qualified. However, he is smart enough to keep this issue out there, in order to divert attention from other matters concerning his administration.
