MSNBC Uses Fake, ‘Sexy’ Photos of Sarah Palin on Air; Will Network Correct and Apologize?

On the Friday edition of Morning Meeting, host Dylan Ratigan featured fake photos of Sarah Palin during a mocking segment on why Americans are fascinated with the former vice presidential candidate. While listing the show’s top ten reasons, Ratigan showed a doctored photo of Palin’s head on the bikini-clad body of a woman holding a weapon.

No way. Caricature has to be presented in a context where it's clear that that is what it is. A doctored photograph is not clearly a caricature.

Indeed. I know a lot of people who seem to think Gov Palin's IQ is somewhere in the 70's. She's a moron, and everybody in the entire country knows it, right? Right?

Well, she's going to do a lot of press, and sell a lot of books, and lot of people will be very, very surprised at how much they have in common with her. And with any luck some people will start to realize the Democrats hate people like her -- and I'm just like her ... which means ... hey, wait a minute ....!!!

There's a picture of Sarah out there that is just fantastic. She's not wearing glasses, she's standing in a snow covered wood wearing a fur-lined parka. Her demeanor is grave and self-possessed. The photo is outstanding!

She appears slightly older, far more serious and mature than her usual self. I've been unable to find it anywhere.

No, not caricature. Caricature, to be caricature needs to be obviously that. Anything that appears to be real but is in fact fake. Is fake. To present photos that are photoshopped to appear authentic, and at the same time present an inaccurate image is not caricature. You should know that, probobly do know that.
