No one can deny his ratings, his influence, his tremendous book success, his ravenously loyal fans, and his impact - yet it's almost as though the rest of the Talk Radio Community doesn't know he exists.
It seems like so many of the big names in talk are "pal-ing" around, referencing each others work, appearing on each others program, yet where is Dr. Savage?
What could be causing this?
It's not like they never mention him (just very rarely), yet when they do... I can almost sense a tone of "dissimal" - like he's not legitimate. Why? Is it just personal, do they all know something we don't?
And his books are so huge, yet where is he on the news, on the cable channels (very rare indeed)? Is he such a loose cannon everyone is afraid of him.
It seems the only time he's in the news is when he gets into trouble - see MSNBC firing, and banning from the UK.
Clearly we have more questions than answers... as we continue to try and uncover the "dirty little secret" (if there is one)
So in closing I turn to you - for your take on 2 key questions about Michael Savage:
1. Is Michael Savage treated...

Excellent analysis! Everyone else is practically PC compared to Savage especially when it comes to the homosexual mafia who is the main impetus behind the destruction of Savage’s freedom of speech. I would say it is the pressure coming not only from homosexuals, but from muslims and both those groups own the left and MSM.
” I could never figure out why Savage did this other than to get publicity and be provocative. “
I think alcohol may play a bigger role than publicity seeking.
Zero manners.
Zero decorum.
Less than zero class.
I can’t stand him. If he thinks yelling makes his point more legitimate, he’s totally out to lunch.
A bigot is a good term to use for Boortz, I tried listening in a couple of times and the venom was just a bit too much for me to handle even from a ‘hear him out” standpoint.
Doc Savage, eh, I think he has a high mental motor and variously pursues a topic then drops it, then pursues it depending on what sort of mood he is in.
Those recorded interviews are terrible, and not worthy of an audience, Savage should know better than to mail it in so blatantly.
I have listened to Savage for a decade and I would say he is NEVER illogical nor is he a “spaz”. It is true he is not always brilliant, but he is more so than most talk show hosts and much more of an intellectual than the majority. That mentioned, he is more consistent on all issues than anyone I have ever listened to and that includes everyone mentioned in this forum.
The thing that makes Savage GREAT is his total understanding of the evil and nihilistic post modern German philosophy that has swept over Europe and currently is suffocating the minds of Americans. His love for the Universal Truths that founded this country are securely rooted in his heart and the homosexual mafia and multi-culturalists and relativists not only hate him for it, they want him and his voice silenced. He makes too much sense and people listen.
Thank you Michael for your love of this nation and the resolve to fight those evil forces that are out to destroy you and our children and this greatest nation on earth.
Oh I agree, Savage as Mike Weiner WAS one of those nihilists, he met Ginsburg and sometimes talked about those days.
To me, his PhD makes him a bit more..lucid..then some of the other talk show hosts, he did kick some money to Jerry Browne’s current campaign for Gov of CA but to me...that is just how the man is, he is NOT a Republican, maybe not even what people would consider a Conservative, Doc Savage is an Independent who realizes who far both parties have sold the US down the river.
And THAT is why the Levin’s and Hannity’s don’t really speak positively about him, and Rush was asked one time about Savage and Rush said “he sounds insane”.
But last I checked, Doc had 9 million or 11 million listeners.
Thanks for the link!
I still listen from time to time on the drive home.
But I can only take so much of the daily Savage Pity-Party!
There is something wrong with a guy that is so successful and still has so much self-pity.
Because Boortz is a petty, small man. He was against the Tea Parties before he was for them. He thinks pro-lifers make the conservative movement look bad, and he can only dream about the kind of ratings Savage gets.
I listen to him for a half hour before Beck come on. (Between 8:30 and 9 AM Boortz is on only locally) It’s mostly all about him.
You could say the same about Savage, but there's a subtle distinction between the two. Savage filters the world through his eyes, and lays it out there as nothing more than just that, take it or leave it. Boortz seems to have this complex as though he's speaking from on high, and as if his opinion is more valid or important than that of others. I'll take Savage over Boortz any day.
Your asssessment is pretty accurate from what I have seen and heard.
Savage’s show comes on here too late, so I only catch it once in awhile.
It’s Drudge that I miss! Sunday nights are not the same!
I do listen to Beck and Rush.
LOL!!!
I don’t even know how I ended up on some ancient history thread.
I was searching about a term in french, on google, and up popped this thread.
Memories....
Light the corner of my mind...
It's not just his dog that looks gay...
