Major Nidal Malik Hasan, An Islamic Extremist, Goes On Killing Spree In Ft. Hood, Texas

If you are someone who abides by political correctness, I suggest you not read this commentary. You certainly won't find what I have to say in the mainstream media; even FOX News probably will not address the issue I'm about to discuss.

On Thursday (November 5th, 2009), Major Nidal Malik Hasan went on a murderous spree resulting in the deaths of 13 military personnel and the wounding of 30 others at the time I'm writing this column. If this were the first time a member of the Islamic faith slaughtered his military brethren, we could chalk it up to an anomaly, a story about an individual who "lost it" and struck down his fellow members of the U.S. Armed Forces. However, Hasan's madness is not the first time an Islamic extremist has put his allegiance to a religious doctrine before service to our nation--to which he was sworn.

During the run up to the War in Iraq, a convert to Islam ...

Time to reclassify Islam as a terrorist cult masquerading as a religion.

Not going to happen. Joe McCarthy and others tried to out the Communist fifth column inside the US military and State Department in the 1950s and look what happened. They turned the attacks against him “HOW DARE YOU ACCUSE MEMBERS OF OUR MILITARY/GOVERNMENT OF HAVING FOREIGN SYMPATHIES”.

The anti-Americans run their shadow government from within. Political correctness is a Soviet concept.

A call for religious profiling will only lead to Christians being profiled the most and having it used against them. There will have to be another route, IMO.

Be careful - the idiots in the WH might just see an opportunity to screen out Christians and Jews from the military.

Remember Rahm’s dictum: Never let a good crisis go to waste!

Won’t happen and not sure the constitution allows for such thing. Remember no discrimination against religion. There is no way this will happen so don’t even think it.

This is an insult to the many Muslim soldiers, sailors and airmen who are loyally serving. Many who know Arabic have done yeoman's work in Iraq and Afghanistan.

It's not like this guy was some kind of sleeper. There were plenty of red flags that should have been picked up on. He got in the Army before 9-11 to use it as a gravy train to get his education. Problem is having the Army pay through medical school and post-grad incurs a very lengthy service commitment. The guy has Pali roots and was loud and clear he opposed the wars. He was antagonistic, proselytizing and starting arguments. He wanted to repay his education and get out but was told no. He was mentally unstable, made worse by treating war vets. He should have been investigated and processed out on some ground or other.
