At the launch event for his latest book, Nobel Prize winner Jose Saramago attacked the bible, saying that the world would be better off without it. The writers latest book "Cain" is an ironic retelling of the story of Cain and Abel from the book of genesis. Looks like President Obama is in great company. ...

Maybe this idiot, Saramago, can say that to my face. He’ll be calling for God to protect him.
I guess this is what the libs love, attacking Christians. I wonder when he is going to say the same thing about the koran.
Whoever this clown is, he’ll be forgotten in a few years. The list of Nobel Literature winners is, for the most part, not exactly distinguished.
The list of non-winners (Tolstoy, Mark Twain, Chekhov, Ibsen, Zola, Henry James, etc.) stands in contrast to nonentity Nobel laureates like Salvatore Quasimodo, Halldor Laxness, and Frans Silanpaa.
Without the Bible there would be no Koran. So this dufus just implied that Islam is useless too; will the imams and ayatollahs denounce him?
There will be some who cannot think for themselves, who will figure that since he is a Noble Prize winner, he must know what he's talking about, therefore must be right.
Things are building rapidly.
Everyday that goes by, I'm listening for trumpet music.
Time is running out. Time to impact those around you.
One should definitely *not* hold one's breath while awaiting that possibility. Asphyxiation is hazardous to one's health...

Nobel Winner Calls Bible “Handbook of Bad Morals”
but does he have the balls to call the Quran the same?
"Obama and the Left-Lucifer's Wrecking Ball"

I especially like this statement:
"when the laws of nature and of natures God are rejected, violated and trampled on, and when lawlessness and non-absolutism are sought in their stead, expect to reap the whirlwind of mass decadence, violence and anarchy (Psalm 11:3; Isa. 5:20; Rom. 1:18-32)."
With hateful idiots like this guy running about, I’m so blessed to not be of this world. He got his prize here, we get ours for eternity. Kinda shows who the real winner is.
Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn was a very worthy and deserving winner, back in the early/mid seventies. I cannot think of too many since who I consider meritorious enough...Gabriel Garcia Marquez (100 years of Solitude) was skillful, but quite on the left!
A.A.C.
Been feeilng that way for several decades.
Certainly increasingly intensely for 20-30 years.
And still . . . STILL some !!!SOME!!!! FREEPER “CHRISTIANS” are clueless.
Thx.
INDEED.
RIGHT YOU ARE.
The spirit of Antichrist is alive and well and is getting stronger and stronger in our world and we can expect this trampling of Christianity to continue.
All things having to do with Jesus Christ must be eradicated for Satan to have his seven years and the blotting out of Christ from this world will get more and more fanatical as we get nearer to the Tribulation.
That's what this is.
It is also a handbook of good morals. A major portion of it tells the history of the Israelites - the good and the bad. Sure, it contains lessons about life - both positive (what to do) and negative (what not to do).
The ten commandments have both positive (Thou shalt) and negative (Thou shalt not) injunctions.
