Not even that. It’s 100% real guacamole. Not avocado dip, not “Americanized”, actual guac.

Lemon and/or Lime

Nothing else needed

Certainly not mayonnaise or sour cream!

Congratulations on being an outlier. Out here in the normal world homemade chips lack the fun chemicals that make chips stronger than they should be.

Sorry but just because it’s not the way you like your guac doesn’t make it not guac.

Why do you guys have to make everything personal? It’s just guac. Everybody should calm down and take a deep breath. So you wouldn’t like my wife’s guac, so what, you’ll never get the chance to eat it anyway.

bring the heat...it ain’t guac without heat. In fact without heat, it’s just vegetables.... which is wrong.

Avocado, salt, lime (or lemon) juice, salsa, all mashed/mixed with a fork. I like to use a pre-made salsa because the ingredients have had time to blend together.

I also cover any remaining with a thin layer of oil to keep the guacamole from browning and then just mix it in when I want to eat it again. You can also freeze guacamole this way.

I've got one huge (about 25-foot) tree and one normal sized one, but I never seem to get enough of avocado! Truly a food of the gods.

It’s just guac.

It's just guac? Not to authentic guac lovers! I mean, it's not guac if it has mayo and sour cream in it! Any authentic guac lover would agree! ;-) Please note the winking smiley Guac with heat and no mayo or sour cream rules!

long live the avocado! and here's a Patron Silver tequila shot to authentic guacamole!

Do you make tamales on Christmas Eve?

not on Christmas Eve... usually a few days to a week before... with company and visitors coming and going, it's nice to have tamales to offer...

Ripe avocado, a sprinkle of salt, cumin, garlic powder, crushed red pepper, Oregano de la Sierra, a squirt of lemon juice, a dash or two of habanero sauce. Crush and whip with a fork until creamy. Serve w/tortilla chips.

AH! Yer killin' me. One thing that's very hard to find on the east coast is good mexican food. It's all americanized, even most of the little family restaurants.

I've had some great stuff at the homes of the migrant farm workers but apart from that - basically nothing.

Enjoy!!
