I prefer to chill the custard, then use a torch to melt the sugar. Garnish with fresh berries, and a small dollop of whipped cream.

I should make custard, my husband is diabetic but he can have all the eggs, cream, etc that he wishes. This recipe calls for small amount of sugar, too!
