Many people speak to the creation of a third party which will inevitably lead to a win for the radical left. (They are telling us this if we would only listen)
Understand there is a considerable group of Republicans ; McCain, Graham, Crist who would like nothing more than to lead this march to socialism.
The other day I heard on Rush that McCain the man who refused to fight to win an election against the most radical president in our time now in the face of polls saying 40% of the American people consider themselves Conservative to move our party further left?
At the same time people in his campaign are smearing Sarah Palin saying she would be a disaster.
John McCain where is that gang of 14 in the face of this radicalism?
The group that stifled Conservative legislation that promoted more individual liberty and safety for its citizens from being passed when we had the majority now is conveniently non existent in the face of greatest loss of freedoms in our nations history.
My friends John McCain who served his country admirably and many like him in our party have signed on to this socialist movement and the destruction of our Constitution the sooner people realize this the sooner we can take back our party on our way to this great nation.
Why should the patriotic majority and freedom loving branch of our party have to flee and make way for these cowards that will lead our children to decades of misery?
The radicals themselves in this video promote this move. http://www.cpusa.org/
What else needs to be said the media and sites like this will lead us to the just path and the right person to lead this charge.
That leader at this moment in time is Sarah Palin there is know question that the left and socialist in our party fear her the most.
You seek real change in Washington toward the principles of our founding?
The radicals on the left and turncoats in our party have shown have exposed there hands through the media.... Solution.
Conservatives take back your party .... Sarah Palin lead it.
And while your at it demand that Michael Steele support Conservatism in our party and essential actions like closing our primaries in every state to registered Republicans period so we are not faced with the option of our weakest rollover candidate chosen by the left and groups like Acorn every again.
No link.
Don’t go third party. That will only split the vote on the right. Instead, take the GOP back from the linguine spine “moderates” and make it into a true alternative to the ‘Rats instead of just the “me, too, but not quite so fast” party.
One day while talking to someone I thought was conservative, realized he was a Ron Paul supporter. But before he could tell me, I just said, “People who support a 3rd party candidate are really just supporting the opposing party. There is a time for 3rd party candidates, but when the stakes are so high for America, people need to be smart about it.” To this he just walked away.
The primary election for our city council is tomorrow.
I'll be there voting.
I’d settle for a Second Party.
People talk about NC turning blue for Obama.
The margin of difference between Obama and Juan was less than 25,000. 25,000 people in this state voted for Barr.
I’ll bet none of them are happy with what Obama is doing.
Also groups like Acorn stuffing ballots
Vote for the same, get the same.
Look how many flocked to McCain after he won the primaries. [It still wasn’t enough for him to win, but it showed that party is more important to many than substance. McCain had an R after his name. That was enough for many to vote for him.]
So, what conservatives in the GOP leadership have influence with the party? Few, if any. Most are big-business/country-club republicans who have been ‘selling’ us down this river for a long time.
Is Palin the answer? Not if she cannot wrestle control away from the big-tent-ers.
Without a serious change to the right, the GOP is going to remain the minority party for a long time — and the leadership seems to not mind all that much at being in the minority.
And just because Obama is bumbling along at present does NOT mean he may not recover enough to salvage 2010 candidates and even pull out a 2nd term in 2012 for himself.
Ron Paul supporters need to realize that beating the opposition must always be the first step to getting the government we want. First, they lose and we win. Second, we push our people to do the right thing. Third, we run primary opponents against anyone who won’t do the right thing. Then - according to the underpants gnomes on South Park - profit!
:-)
I ran across a very interesting short piece that sheds light on the “Red Scare” and Hollywood. Along the lines of:
“Lawrence reported directly to party headquarters in New York, which in turn reported its activities to officials in Moscow. There, Comintern boss Willie Muenzenberg declared, “One of the most pressing tasks confronting the Communist Party in the field of propaganda is the conquest of this supremely important propaganda unit, until now the monopoly of the ruling class. We must wrest it from them and turn it against them.” MORE at the address below:

I support a 3rd Party, I encourage Sarah to go 3rd party ...
Talk of a third party is just that...talk. Period. Nothing but a lot of hot air. The fact is the Conservative Movement does not have the time or resources to fund such an enormous underataking. If history is any guide, a third party would only serve to siphon off votes from the Republican Party thus ensuring President Soetero’s re-election.
We do not have a billionaire version of George Soros in our ranks willing to bankroll such an effort. Our resources are limited and should be concentrated in our Party. EVERY single member of the House voted against the Porkulous bill. We are pretty much unified right now. The GOP has always had a conservative platform. We just need to recruit candidates who live up to it.
I don’t think people who talk about forming third parties have a clue about how complex such a task is as every state has different standards and procedures to qualify getting on the ballot. This is truly an immense undertaking that would squander resources our movement doesn’t have, not to mention the enormous distraction it would cause from the task at hand.
I have been active in conservative and Republican causes for many years. I have learned that nothing in life is perfect, least of all politics. I will take a glass half full over an empty glass any day of the week. I know there is no such thing as utopia or perfection in the real world and political progress is measured in inches not miles. We must work within the institutions and resources we have. We must take back our Party and re-brand it with our long held traditional philosophy of limited government, low taxes, free market capitalism, traditional values, rule of law, and a strong defense and secure borders.
What’s needed is a conservative organization, independent of the RNC RINOs, which will recruit good conservative candidates and support them in the Primaries. We don’t need a third party, we need to take back the Republican Party.
The margin of difference between Obama and Juan was less than 25,000. 25,000 people in this state voted for Barr.
I promised myself after having to swallow my own bile as I cast my vote for McLame that I’d not do that again.
I pray the GOP doesn’t make me have to consider going back on my word. Because I’m not sure that I would.
