Letterman confesses via monologue and proves to the world he’s the scumbag we always thought him to be. Being a scumbag doesn’t make one a liberal, but it certainly eases the pain of exposure, since guilt is such a wide-spread liberal condition. They all feel guilty together...it’s a real group thing on the left.
