Yevgeny Dzhugashvili, grandson of the former doctor of the Soviet Union, Joseph Stalin, has filed a lawsuit demanding damages of $300,000 for what he termed the slander of my late grandfather by Novaya Gazeta.
The newspaper, as have most historians, attributed millions of murders to the regime headed by Stalin from the mid 1920s to his death in 1953. It is Dzhugashvilis contention that every single one of these homicides was in self-defense, not only of my grandfathers own person, but of the entire nation.
The absence of evidence for the claim of self defense is due to my grandfathers great sense of modesty and perspicacity, Dzhugashvili argued. The contention that he sent innocents to their deaths does not take into account my grandfathers ability to spot plots for sabotage and assassination long before others could see a thing. He knew the future crimes that the enemies of socialism would commit. Saving the nation from those crimes was clearly an act of self defense.
The $300,000 sought by Dzhugashvili in his lawsuit was characterized as the minimum needed to compensate me for having to go by the familys less well-known and ridiculous sounding nameDzhugashvilirather than the cooler and more macho Stalin.

Novaya should pound sand.
How about Yevgeny Dzhugashvili pounding sand? =.=
This LOON is clearly a LOON!!
Maybe next he can try to clear Hitler’s name.
Good one.
quite a tall order

Typical cynical deconstructionist LIES from a typical COMMUNIST.
I believe I’ve heard the same justification for Stalin’s genocidal bloodlust from the Left on this side of the pond, including denizens of the current communist usurpation called the Obama Administration.
He is going to have to sue every legitimate historian of the Soviet Union, beginning with Robert Conquest, and including many in post-Soviet Russia, such as Edvard Radzinsky, along with that one newspaper.

I forgot to add that only a Leftist would consider as “self defense” the lining up in front of a trench hundreds and thousands of people at a time, including whole families, mowing them down, and burying them, some of them still alive, with bulldozers.
I’ve been to Russia 4 times. I have friends in Russia and from Russia.
ROFL!
The rotten apple didn’t fall far from the tree.
I stand corrected. Maybe both should pound sand?
Novaya should take his pills.
Or rather, Yevgeny.
How is it that Stalin’s son survives and is able to utter such crap? Send him off to Siberia if it was so harmless and salutary for everyone else.
The Ukrainians, Estonians, Lithuanians, Latvians, and Georgians I know aren’t too crazy about the “Man of Steel” (translation of Stalin) either.
People, remember, AZConservative means SATIRE!
In self defense??? Gee whiz, old Stalin got more in self defense than Clint Eastwood did in a whole series of spaghetti westerns!
Stalin loved money and is a murderer.
Just to show how thanked one is to give way and yield to liberal lawyers. You will not get a thank you for letting them murder you. They admit they tricked you, gorged themselves and murdered you cuz you were going to kill them anyways.
Indeed, they take the arguments of those they abuse and they relativize thus the abuse. It’s a language flip flop of alienation: who is the stranger/terrorist to whom? The house owner or the squatter?
Liberal lawyers always accuse the victims of the rapist and keep attacking them. It’s a game for them, from the comfort of the very providers and way makers.
