Photoshopped? Looks like it is, if it is not, why would the White House upload this picture knowing the controversy it would create...
Here we go again. Another case of symbolism over substance, feeling the need to engage in these tactics to create an image of the President in the public's mind... The photo was uploaded onto the blog at whitehouse.gov/blog
From the White House's new flickr.com/whitehouse photo page The site tells you that the photograph may not be manipulated President Barack Obama addresses a town hall meeting on health care insurance reform inside a hangar at Gallatin Field in Belgrade, Mont., on Aug. 14, 2009. (Official White House photo by Pete Souza)This official White House photograph is being made available only for publication by news organizations and/or for personal use printing by the subject(s) of the photograph.
The photograph may not be manipulated in any way and may not be used in commercial or political materials, advertisements, emails, products, promotions that in any way suggests approval or endorsement of the President, the First Family, or the White House.
The flickr site gives you the option of high magnification, here is the biggest screen shot I could capture... How is this photo possible? {click to enlarge photo}

LOL! Horns replaced by a halo?
Maybe he used to much Soul Glow taken from the set of Coming To America. I saw the sofa scene, I know how powerful that stuff is.
Looks more like steam rising from dog poop on a cold morning
When you enlarge it it certainly looks photoshopped. I’ve done enough photoshopping to know.. (and it looks poorly done at that).
look at the white as it curves around his forehead
photoshop
One of the photographers who posted a comment last night said the glow around the head from the light on the wall was definetly enhanced.....

I totally agree. They didn’t do a very good job at all.

What’s the big deal? There’s a flood light on the other side. The photographer simply used Obamas head to bock it, and filled with a flash. It certainly does not have to be shopped.
American Dream is absolutely correct. No big deal to back light a shot like that. Many good remote flashes available today. I’m guessing it was just a spotlight placement that the photographer took advantage of. Of course you could always enhance the effect with a little photoshop....no biggie. There are thousands of rock and roll stage images just like this.
How do you explain all the white flies buzzing around his head in the hi-res version?
Bad photoshoped at that! If it were natually happening there wouldn’t be the hard stop/start line like it has.
ROFLMAO!

“The site tells you that the photograph may not be manipulated”
You did a real funny no no.
I don’t think thats a halo, its a personal aura.....
