This is an easy recipe, and is a great way to spice up on something that's already a Southern staple. It's almost like a cross between cornbread and corn pudding.

What the hell is Mexicorn? Help me here. I am a big fan. I would add another Jalopenia.

Mexicorn is canned corn with chiles added. I would add a couple of jalapenos, too.

To heck with the cornbread, did y’all see the advertisement on the recipe page for Bacon Salt???? ‘Makes everything taste like bacon’!
I’ve never heard of such a thing. I’m gonna check to see if it’s made from fake bacon so this bacon-loving vegan can try it out. Sounds fantastic.

I have some bacon salt ... it’s OK, kinda tastes like the seasoning on BBQ potato chips.

Actually, I thought you might be interested in the bacon salt!

Have you tried the Baconaise? I’m going to order a sample of the salt and maybe the Baconaise. So many possibilities!

Naw. No bacon salt.
But Bacon would be a welcome addition to that cornbread flavor, though I would add it to the beans, not the bread.

LOL
very nice!
Mine’s almost like that, except it is beige and brown.
I used to have a recipe for cornbread that used canned corn, cheddar cheese and sour cream.
It was wonderful, but I lost the recipe.
