Fox News Channel host Glenn Beck says people should be focusing on the goals President Obama is pursuing and the way he is reaching them instead of questioning his eligibility to be president.
"I have to tell you, the I mean, first of all, the birther thing, what are you going to do. Even if it was true, what, are you going to take him out of office?" he said today on his radio show. "You can't do that."--WND
We should do both! As Joe Farah correctly observes if Obama would simply make public his long-form birth certificate, all these questions of being legit could be answered.
Otherwise it looks like there is an attempt to hide something.

“You can’t do that.”—
You wanna bet?
I guess that makes him a RINO or an 0bama supporter.

Not exactly a slam. He’s just concentrating on other issues.
Seriously, I wouldn’t call Beck an intellectual giant. He tends to rant hysterically. So him slamming the BC issue means nothing to me. Because the simple truth of the matter is that Obama SHOULD PROVE HIS ELIGIBILITY. PERIOD.
I’m betting that Josehp Farah and WorldNetDaily is going to be the last major news source (eventually) who still pursues the birth certificate issue... Mind you, I’ve liked WorldNetDaily from the beginning and think it’s a fine news source. I’m just saying that I think they’re going to be the last one standing... of the major news sources (not talking about blogs, now... :-) ... ).
WorldNetDaily should be supported as a good news source for many of their stories that they write about and their conservative stance and their Christian worldview.
Keep supporting them. I’ve been doing so since they started... and that was long before any birth certificate issue ever came out.
No question that 0bama should.
I sure agree with Glenn. He is a great fighter for the conservative movement. We need to take what he says to heart. Our local “Letters to the Editors” are kookifying the right on this futile obsession. It is dieing out.
Do the radiocarbon test of the paper of the birth certificate. Here’s one that was tested and found to be a fake document from 1950 http://www.benhammott.com/radiocarbon_message1_test.html
I agree with you in that Beck sees the urgency to head off the masterplan to save whatever we have left of our country. We can take care of the imposter in due time but the overriding urgency is to clip this jackass off at the knees and then club him over the head with his premeditated attack on our country and Constitution.
As long as the Democrat Party carries his water, they will also go down with him big time. The recent protests at town halls give credence to that view.
Once reasoned thinking people are in charge of our government, we can make an example of the Democrat party and those who supported the whole charade.
Uhhh, okay.
I enjoy Glenn for the most part, but he likes to misrepresent things he doesn’t agree with. I’ve heard him numerous times talk about news stories where he grossly overstates parts of the story. Other times, he flat-out makes up parts to make it more interesting. What he talked about today was again a misrepresentation of the issue.
There are a lot of people like me out there. I don’t really believe in any of the conspiracy theories. The fact, however, that he’s spent so much time, energy, and money fighting the issue means there’s likely something to hide. Also, let’s be consistent - John McCain had to prove his eligibility to RUN. Why doesn’t Obama have to prove his eligibility to serve? Or have they accepted the computer-generated form? If so, OK, I guess, but I don’t like that.
I’m going to keep pressing the eligibility issue but I can also fight on all other fronts at the same time. I’m not going to be angry at Glenn for concentrating on another front.
Of course we can.
I like Glenn Beck, but he is not thinking right or clearly on this one
I think that’s a reasonable stance to take. I’m a bit torn on the whole “birther” issue, but the level of subterfuge from the Obama camp sure smells funny. On the other hand, I can see right through the Obama playbook and we’re falling right into it their strategy. By keeping us chasing our tails (the occasional “Kenyan BC” or whatever), it distracts a lot of us from obstructing his Marxist agenda. It also has the added benefit (courtesy of his compliant state-run media) of painting us as conspiracy theorists. I swear, it feels like the progressives are on another whole plane of strategy. We’re playing 2D chess, while they’ve mastered the 3D version.
Come on now... just because certain people don’t like the Christian worldview that they have, doesn’t mean it isn’t a fine news source...
I mean, heck! It was Jerome Corsi and his book that did in Kerry... LOL...
Ann Coulter, Sen. Jim DeMint, Glen Beck, Neil Bortz and others are not onboard with the birthers.
I agree with them. They arn’t saying he doesn’t have a problem with his BC but,
We need to focus on the life and death issues facing us.
They can start today investigations, hearings, legal actions, and by the time it winds up the 2010 election will have passed and will be into the 2012 election cycle.
So many pushing this sat at home or voted third party
and helped make possible Obama’s win.
You mean like, so it doesn’t matter?
There a lot of media people who are going to get ZOT’ed PDQ. We use them for entertainment but frankly they are becoming useless.
Isn’t Glenn the one that gave a clarion call for all of us to pick an issue that is important and focus on it?
Now he is saying what? Yeah, that makes sense.
Thanks Glen.
This is coming from the highest leadership people in the Fox News organization. There is NO ONE on Fox that is supporting the constitutional requirement that Obama be a natural born citizen. (If I am wrong please name one.)
They are either silent, say there are more important matters, or insult the birthers such as Coulter and OReilly have done. If I am wrong please name one.
I suggest that we start inundating the highest executives of Fox News. Is is possible that the chief executives of Fox woke up one morning with a horse's head in their beds?
