You heard it right, on Monday, the Hawaii House of Representives voted to declare Obama a "Natural Born Citizen". Instead of producing the birth certificate, their vote is supposed to somehow make this official.
It was also reported that Dr. Fukino based her statement on the House vote as to Obama being "natural born and born in Hawaii". The House vote came out with a notice that "Obama was born in Hawaii, and is an American natural-born citizen".
Long-form vault copy or a House vote to provide proof of natural-born citizenship?
Give me a break. Absolutely rediculous.
I’m just wondering if we can get them to vote my dog in as Potentate or something.
They have to know the truth about Obama's foreign origins.

(1) the first Native Hawaiian to serve in Congress, Prince Jonah Kuhio Kalaniana`ole;
(2) the first Asian-American to serve in the Senate, Hiram Fong;
(3) the first woman of color to serve in Congress, Patsy T. Mink;
(4) the first Native Hawaiian to serve in the Senate, Daniel Kahikina Akaka; and
(5) the first Japanese-American to serve in the Senate, Daniel Ken Inouye;
Whereas Hawaii is an example to the rest of the world of unity and positive race relations;
Whereas Pearl Harbor is a strategic military base for the U.S. in the Pacific and also a historical site for the Nation, being the location of the December 7, 1941, surprise Japanese aerial attack that thrust the Nation into World War II;
Whereas Hawaii is home to 1/4 of the endangered species in the United States;
Whereas Hawaii has 8 national parks, which preserve volcanoes, complex ecosystems, a Hansen’s disease colony, and other sites of historical and cultural significance;
Whereas Kilauea ranks among the most active volcanoes on Earth;
Whereas President Bush nominated the Papahanaumokuakea Marine National Monument to the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization World Heritage Centre for consideration to the World Heritage List;
Whereas Hawaii has produced musical legends ranging from traditional favorites such as Alfred Apaka, Don Ho, and Genoa Keawe, to Hawaii renaissance performers such as Eddie Kamae, Raymond Kane, Gabby Pahinui, Israel Kamakawiwo`ole, the Brothers Cazimero, and the Beamer Brothers, and continuing on to contemporary stars such as Keali`i Reichel, Ledward Kaapana, Jake Shimabukuro, and Raiatea Helm;
Whereas Hawaii is culturally rich, as the Hawaiian culture has been protected through Hawaiian language immersion schools, hula competitions such as the Merrie Monarch Festival, canoeing voyages undertaken by vessels like the Hokule`a, and the continuing historic preservation of Hawaiian traditions;
Whereas the Hawaii Statehood Commission has held a Joint Session of the Hawaii State Legislature in honor of statehood and will be celebrating this milestone with a public discussion and with the arrival of the USS Hawaii ; and

That the House of Representatives recognizes and celebrates the 50th Anniversary of the entry of Hawaii into the Union as the 50th State.

The resolution says 0bama was born in Hawaii. It doesn’t declare him to be a natural born citizen.
Exactly what is it that makes you think the Dems have any regard for the truth?
The RINO’s know he’s not a citizen which makes them even more guilty than the Dems.

Either he is in fact a NBC, and non-forged documentation exists to prove this, and they have all seen it, or
EVERYONE that has allowed this to happen and is now engaging in this obvious cover up is guilty of treason in my opinion.
I can no longer even stick my neck out for Michelle Bachmann. She voted for the resolution, so she must have seen his LBC.

You are right. We have in an uncharted area if each State were to reassert a right to determine its own standard for “natural born” citizenship.
If he was born in Hawaii, he is a natural born citizen.
They set the precedent a little over a year ago when they did the same thing for McCain regarding the original birthers, Dems who questioned his NBC status because of his Canal Zone birth.
The short answer is they can’t. It was a non-binding resolution. They however would dictate truth itself through legislation if they could.
So, it would follow that the Hawaii Legislature would follow the lead of the House Republicans and affirm their decision that Obama is a NBC.

Yup. That's what the 14th amendment was adopted to remedy, a state of affairs where Dred Scott could be a citizen in one state and property in another.
I suppose that in the absence of any explicit Constitutional provision brinbing this responsibility into the Federal orbit, a State could reassert its right to determine citizenship.
14th amendment: "All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside." Article I, section 8 explicitly gives Congress to establish rules of naturalization.
This move on the part of Hawaii, which may seem to many of us calling a chair an ashtray by legislative edict, may not be as outre as it would seem at first glance.
This move by Hawaii is nothing but a resolution commemorating the 50th anniversary of statehood. Obama is one of the Hawaiians named in the preamble. Nothing in the whole document carries force of law.
If it does not mean much, why did 152 GOP Members of Congress line up to vote in favor of it?
And as you can see in the above post of mine, Abercrombie’s resolution does not proclaim Obama a “Natural Born Citizen”. You’re fibbing again.
Non-binding means just that. Not a law. It was akin to ceremony but not even that.

First things first: Obama is not a legal president because he is not a “natural born citizen”. All republicans are RINOS, since they all signed Senate Res. 511 which asserted that “because he was born of American Parents”... The weasel words are a legal device, since the definition was confirmed by the court a number of times, quoted directly a number of times, and its source, Vattel’s Law of Nations, cited. There are lots of legal terms at the core of the constitution which were not defined in the text itself. Nothing short of a different father can make Obama Jr. a natural born citizen. Birth in Kenya might seal the fact for those who still don't understand the constitution. But nothing rests on the birth certificate. Even if “Toots”, Obama’s grandma was really his mother, as Jerome Corsi has posited. If the Dad were still Obama, and not Marshall Davis, Obama is ineligible. (Its like Peyton place!) Remember, BOTH PARENTS CITIZENS of THE UNITED STATES, has been challenged, according to Obama associated law firm, “two dozen times since 1870” (Sarah Herlihy, Amending the Natural Born..., Chicago-Kent Law Review, 2006). It is still the law.
