Please pray for Ben. He is a very dear friend of mine. He was injured in a blast today in Helmand Province in Afghanistan. His Marine liason from Camp Lejune called at 1:15 and we are waiting for word. He is one of the most outstanding individuals that you could ever meet. Even though I am not his mother, our families are very close and he is like a son to me. He has been a wonderful mentor to my own sons.
Please keep him and the other Marines that were injured with him today in your prayers, along with all of the brave men and women who selflessly serve our country.

Does anybody know what the turn around time is for an update?
I have held brave men in my arms while their life blood flowed out. I was totally inadequate to the task, but I did my best to comfort them and acknowledge the great sacrifice that they made for all of us. Fortunately, our great military and medical science rescued some of them from the grave and they are alive and well today, 40 years on.
God be with you and our brave Marines and Soldiers. If we cannot keep them in our midst, have no doubt that the Lord God, our creator, will welcome them to his realm and there they will wait for us all.
