The GSA announced that the web site that tracks where stimulus dollars are being spent is about to get a redesign at a cost of $18 million dollars.

ABC News’ Rick Klein reports: For those concerned about stimulus spending, the General Services Administration sends word tonight that $18 million in additional funds are being spent to redesign the Recovery.gov Web site.
The new Web site promises to give taxpayers more information about where their money is going than the current version of the site.
“Recovery.gov 2.0 will use innovative and interactive technologies to help taxpayers see where their dollars are being spent,” James A. Williams, commissioner of GSA’s Federal Acquisition Service, says in a press release announcing the contract awarded to Maryland-based Smartronix Inc. “Armed with easy access to this information, taxpayers can make government more accountable for its decisions.”

Maybe they contracted Accenture to do it. I'll do it for $5 million in a quarter of the time if anyone is looking for a better bid. I'd stand to pocket about $4,950,000.
I see Smartronix Inc. is doing it. Never heard of them.

Well, uhm...for starters, I'm concerned about spending $18M for a website. A website of lies. Will we receive details on where exactly the $18M are being used?

Some $18 million “stimulus” contract has been awarded to some FOB (friend of Barak) and probably they will claim 10 new jobs were created

Sounds to me like 18 million will buy them time...while the site is “down” ...so they’ve less ‘splainin’ to do....
