Yea and how about that weather.
I agree....try driving in Dallas....they do not know what a turn signal is.....
Sounds like something a cop would do.
Did you happen to notice an O bumper sticker?
Probably remnants of a Kerry one, too.
I’m guessing you’ve never driven the freeways of Southern California.
It’s usually people who really have nothing to lose financially. Either that, or they are some minority who has grown accustomed to preferential treatment, or they are from NYC or LA.
People like this are why God equipped each and every one of us with a pair of
Mister Digit Hand Puppets®
Many idiot drivers don’t know when they have the right of way, or when the other driver has it. A Yield sign means that the other driver has the right of way. Got it?
That is why the fuzz run your identity thru the system when they stop you for a traffic infraction...They have a pretty good shot that reckless drivers are wanted for something else too...
I’m really starting to think that the “Holier Than Thou” Lane Blockers are more dangerous than the Merge Surgers, and the Stop Light Kamikazis. Aggressive driving mostly happens in predictable areas and traffic formations. At least you know what to expect.
Last week as I was leaving the local Lowes, some twenty-something guy coming from the other direction came straight at me in my lane rounding a curve. I slowed down and flipped him a one-finger salute as he got into his own lane and zipped by me. As I rounded the curve a twenty-something female came straight at me in my lane. It was panic-stop time, and the ABS brakes kicked in. Thank God I had ABS, because our bumpers were about three feet apart when we both came to a halt. The bitch was screaming at me to get out of her way. She was in the wrong lane. I was in shock because I had been preparing to die. She finally got into her lane and left.
My guess is that I was collateral damage in a domestic dispute.
The violent shaking from the ABS episode shook my truck so badly that it had an electrical event of some sort. It took out my battery, the ignition coil and my radio. $550 to get it all fixed.
A panic ABS stop is not good for your vehicle, but at least I avoided a head-on collision.
I now officially hate college-age drivers.
I thought this story was a comparison to illegal aliens when I first read it. They cut the line into the country ahead of all the LEGAL aliens who wait patiently.
I have learned these things.....
-If the driver is not using his turn signal, he is most likely from California. The less he uses it, the further south he’s from.
-If the driver is going the wrong way on a one way, he is likely from Canada.
-If the driver has blue tinted hair, or an old hat that only exposes big monster ears, he/she is from a nearby retirement facility or community.... such as about 20 minutes from my house.
-If all the other drivers seem likely they are out to kill you, even in gas station parking lots, have all their windows down in 100* heat, stereos blasting so loud that your ears hurt, have cellphones stuck in their ears while traveling very fast and there doesn’t seem to be any rhyme nor reason in their driving.... you have taken a wrong turn and have found yourself in the middle of a traffic circus called, Salt Lake City, Utah. There is a reason I nicknamed that place, “The Mormon 500”. ;>)
- Finally, if you are going down the road and you hear loud popping noises, look for broken glass. I’m near, I’m pi$$ed, I think you tried to kill me and I haven’t quite got my aim steady..... ;>)
A person killed by a reckless driver is as dead as one killed by a clown waving a gun which goes off.
But the reckless driver will get a lighter penalty as the idiot with the gun.
How about applying the same standards to both?
Yeah, SoCal drivers, particularly in L.A., are terrible (most having mastered the left hand turn from the right hand lane amongst other vices).
I’m not sure what drives the utter obliviousness of L.A. drivers to other cars sharing the road with them, but I theorize it stems from some sort of ingrained entitlement mentality.
Oh man, could I write volumes and volumes on this. Alas, I’m on my iPhone at the pool. So I’ll keep it to the first (not necessarily most) Ill-mannered driving style/habit that pops into my head.
Why do so many people not turn left at an intersection after the light turns red? You know the ones. They were the first car to not make the green arrow, but instead of pulling forward in the intersection, possibly to turn during a gap in the oncoming traffic, they sit blythely by as the light cycle runs its course.
Only after they get a green arrow will they make the turn.
I ask you: Are you THAT driver?
Your comments are contradictory. ‘I hate drivers that refuse to follow the law’. Anyone with a drivers license knows how to complete a lane change legally and safely. Then you explain about pushing someone into road rage because you cut them off but ‘they’ need to chill.
