Here is video of conservative political analyst Bill Kristol saying Gov. Sarah Palin may be "crazy like a fox" in her decision to resign as Governor of Alaska. Kristol said the decision is unconventional, and a a "huge gamble," but it just may turn out to be a stroke of genius. Kristol made the comments just after Palin made a speech announcing her decision, yesterday, July 3, 2009. . . . . (Watch Video)

She’s playing her hand just as Ronald Reagan did.
Smart lady. We’re ready. :)
I am up in thae air on this one....can't figure it out. Will they move out of Alaska? I love Sarah and would vote for her as President.
Sarah has to solve the political problems in the political situation she finds herself in. But she is being criticized for not doing things the way they were done at a different time and in a different political climate.
Sarah said plainly that she wasn’t going to “go with the flow.” Only dead fish do that. And the cheap and easy way to criticize her is to say that she is doing something “bizarre.” Well, it’s only bizarre to those who can’t or won’t understand it.
The question is....Where is the best place for her to be NOW....and why....and for what purpose...
Even if you as a Republican wouldn’t vote for Sarah for President - and I know a few - she is liked by those same people, who would never hold against her any move she made as a result of the rampant hate against her and her family.
She may run, she may not, people may vote for her, people may not, but one thing’s for certain: She’s got more people supporting her than the media could ever dream about. What happened to her family over the last nine months was unthinkable for a so-called sophisticated society.
Well, that’s putting it in a nutshell. Thank you. Naturally, everything said at this point is pure speculation since she’s made some insinuations, but has said nothing concrete about her plans. We’ll have to wait until that time she makes her intentions known to understand what’s behind this. I’m not going to speculate, only hope there’s more in store for America that what we’ve had. She’s too much a treasure to lose.
I just feel sorry for the family and what they went through for almost the past year. It shows just how low the political climate in America has fallen, and to what extent politicians and their scumbag followers will go to deprecate someone they fear. And that goes for both sides of the aisle. There was even one here on FR last night.
as governor of alaska sarah would have to spend most of her time in alaska.
now she can spend much of her time in the lower 48 hawking her book
and using this opportunity to fill the republican leadership vacuum.
Well, she has run up over $600K in legal bills defending herself against frivolous lawsuits. So, she needs to make some money somehow to clear up her debts. I have a major problem with the lack of support the GOP has provided her. And, I have a major problem with the way McCain and his team dumped on her, threw her under the bus actually. If the GOP wants any support from me in the future, either my votes or my measly amount of money, they had better get behind Palin in all ways, including with money and legal support asap...
I hope she’ll take this time to show America who the REAL retards are.
Bingo.
She was willing to call Obama a socialist in 2008, when other Republicans wanted her to tone down the rhetoric.
She is freeing herself to be the Anti-Obama, whether or not she runs for president.
And she won't need to eat crow, like non-presidential candidate Colin Powell has done.
the republican party did not like ronald reagan either.
the republican party since the 1890s has been a spend-big party.
many republicans are progressives like democrats.
mccain has no class. his “bipartisanship” is traitorous.
Right now she is the only Conservative that can
1. Draw huge crowds
2. Raise large amounts of grass root donations.
Turn your back on her at your own peril. If I were Rubio I would be on the phone trying to get her to come to Florida.
Where can we donate to help her with her legal expenses?
Alaska Trust Fund. Dang if I can post the link.
I don’t think even Sarah would have a chance in New York!
Thanks, I sent a modest contribution.
