Why does Barack Obama side with dictators?
Telegraph Blogs (U.K.) ^ | July 1, 2009 | Nile Gardiner

It took Barack Obama 10 days to speak out clearly against the savage beatings and killings meted out by the Iranian regime on the streets of Tehran. It was just a matter of hours however before the Obama administration was loudly voicing its condemnation of the bloodless removal from power of populist dictator Manuel Zelaya in Honduras.

President Obama joined the odious likes of Hugo Chavez, Daniel Orgtega and Fidel Castro in calling for Zelaya to be reinstated. Chavez, it should be noted, immediately threatened to invade Honduras, which was met by silence from the White House.

Zelaya is no democrat, and sought to follow Chavez’s example by illegally extending his period of office, in clear violation of the constitution, and chose to overrule the nation’s Supreme Court and Congress. Zelaya, in every sense a protege and at times puppet of the Venezuelan president, was happily turning his country into an impoverished, hugely corrupt, socialist basket case when he was whisked off, completely unharmed, by the Honduran armed forces to Costa Rica. He has been replaced by the speaker of the Congress, Robert Micheletti, and free elections will be held in November.

Instead of siding with pro-American forces in Honduras who actually believe in constitutional democracy, Obama and his Secretary of State Hillary Clinton aligned themsleves with America-haters like Chavez, Latin America’s biggest despot, and close ally of Iran.

If Chavez or Ahmadinejad were booted out by their own people it should be a cause of huge celebration in Washington. If the Honduran example is anything to go by though, team Obama would probably demand they be put back in power as the “elected” leaders of their country. Wouldn’t it make sense if the United States went back to a policy of actually backing its friends and allies and actively

They're so masculine. So confident in what they believe.

Of course, those are bad things in a conservative who loves America. If this apparant contradiction puzzles you, it's because you're stupid. Now shut up.

“Wouldn’t it make sense if the United States went back to a policy of actually backing its friends and allies and actively seeking the demise of its enemies?”

That’s what Obama’s doing—backing his ideological allies.

People just don’t seem to understand that the Democratic Party of today isn’t quite what it used to be.

Why does Ø side with dictators?

Because they are ideologically aligned with him.

Next question.

Because he thinks power is to be used to ‘right wrongs’, and therefore likes the idea of the ‘benevolent dictator’. Probably most if not all dictators think of themselves as a ‘benevolent dictator’, allowing them to rationalize all kinds of things to themselves. Obama doesn't think the US is basically on track and just needs some ‘adjustments’. He thinks the system has been deeply flawed and needs to be fixed. His exposures and background have been sympathetic to socialism, and if he were to be honest he would likely have to call himself a socialist.

‘Spread the wealth’ is a socialist philosophy, and he is joined in this philosophy by a fair number of Congressmen and Senators, including it would seem most of the the black caucus. As a society we let these ideas fester because it was politically incorrect to point out that the problems in the inner city are largely the fault of the people who live there, not the result of greediness and suppression by the rest of society. It's long past the time to take the gloves off and have a real national debate without deference to political correctness.

Let’s see. Why does a socialist seeking to destroy our Democratic Republic and free market economy to replace it with socialism side with dictators? Hmmmmmmm.

“Zelaya, in every sense a protege and at times puppet of the Venezuelan president, was happily turning his country into an impoverished, hugely corrupt, socialist basket case...”

Really... sounds like Obama’s role model.

Because he's an ignorant piece of human fecal matter.
