House Democrats didnt want the American people to understand the true impact of Speaker Pelosis 1,500-page national energy tax. So House Republican Leader John Boehner took to the House floor and read portions of it to the American people, explaining how it would to raise electricity prices, increase gasoline prices, and ship American jobs overseas to countries like China and India.
House Democrats didnt much like it either, and they tried to shut him down. But Boehner asked Chairman Henry Waxman (D-CA) and other Democrats: Dont you think the American people expect us to understand whats in the bill before we vote on it?

I actually watched his speech on CSPAN. Had to. All I could find on any other networks, even FNC & FBN, were idiotic stories about Jackson. Glad I watched, even to see Waxman almost blow a gasket over the time. Turned 2 minutes into over an hour. When Waxman objected, he was told more than once that it was customary to allow the leader to expand his remarks. Priceless.
Must see Tee Vee...imo.
Boehner was awesome!
they can’t handle the truth!
Boehner was outstanding yesterday. America’s starting to wake-up! When the details of this legislation are truly revealed to the people, I believe it will take a large bite out of Obama’s political capital.
Dittoes to your comments... Closest thing I’ve seen to “Mr. Smith Comes to Washington” in years. Way to go, John Boehner! You made us proud yesterday!
AMERICA HAS THE RIGHT TO KNOW THE CONSEQUENCES OF SPEAKER PELOSI’S NATIONAL ENERGY TAX. The things the democrats do at 3:00AM America needs to keep an eye on.
