I buy what’s on sale. If it’s organic, fine. Otherwise, organic reminds me of manure.
Peace and Love.
Had a scientist tell me many years ago, the stuff we spray on plants is not nearly as dangerous as the anti weapons the plants themselves make.
I don't eat much to start with, so it doesn't matter what I eat as long as it's healthy and I don't stuff myself.
No. I only buy plastic food.
The only thing that I buy is organic milk. So many growth hormones go into these cows. Decided I didn’t want them going into my daughter.
Heck, my car runs on organic fuel.
Is pizza organic?
“” Peace and Love “ .... yeah, far out man ....
Let’s all sing “ let the sunshine, let the sunshine in “ ...
Yeah, I remember the late 60’s early 70’s .... “
Oh, you were there too. Funny, I don’t remember you. In fact, I don’t remember much - or at least I don’t claim to remember much. Just a few more teach-ins, man, and we could have defeated Reagan, brought peace to the world, and followed Jerry Garcia around the country.
But instead, I have to work for THE MAN. Life sucks.
I started buying organic milk a while back after a conversation with my very conservative ex-Army doctor. Don’t remember how we got on the subject but he said he was seeing more and more concerned parents coming in with 8 and 9 year old girls who were getting their cycles already. He felt certain that it was attributable to the steriods and other hormones we are giving cows.
Since then, we’ve been solidly organic milk drinkers. Which is fine by us as there is a Mennonite dairy not far away that provides well and at fair prices. And I prefer to support the smaller independent farmers and producers anyway.
Depends, organic flour, bottled spring water, organic tomato sauce and artisan cheese, could be.
Make mine veggie, please. :) Og=rganic veggie. lol
Og=rganic organic yawned as I was typing. lol
Oh dear...now you have gone a step past organic and walked into the “home made” kitchen. :o
Yes, we eat organic. It’s not perfect but it’s the best out there. Pesticides and other chemicals that can’t be in official organic foods are worth avoiding. You don’t get sick immediately after eating frankenfoods filled with barely-edible cr@p ingredients. They do not kill you that day. Insread, they cumulatively hurt your body enough to give you serious problems years or decades later, like chronic conditions or cancers.
Read Michael Pollan’s “The Omnivore’s Dilemma” and tell me organic or grassfed isn’t better. It’s a great, extremely well-written read, too.
Grow it.
Sell it.
I think its the best way to make money on a small place.
It has great Marketing appeal. It really confounds some folks that a red-neck conservative has cage free hens.
Manure? Yes, been used for thousands of years and with great results. Try washing your food, it comes off. Sunshine and time kills the bacteria anyway.
Love Organic Milk, for one thing they pull the cows with Mastitis off of the Milking Machines. That means Less Puss in your kids milk.
