CNN Commentator Equates Bush-Hating Holocaust Museum Killer To Tea Party Protesters

CNN guest commentator Wayne Slater from the Dallas Morning News equated the Holocaust Museum killer to Tea Party Protesters yesterday. NewsBusters reported:
Dallas Morning News’s Wayne Slater become one of the first pundits after the shootings at the Holocaust Museum on Wednesday to hint that there was a connection to mainstream conservative activists. On CNN Newsroom, about two hours after the story broke, Slater linked this incident and the murder of abortionist George Tiller with “anti-tax secessionists in Texas,” his label for Tea Party protesters.
SLATER: They absolutely need to be motivated and are being motivated. Each of these episodes in recent weeks- whether it’s [the] killing of an abortion doctor- whether it was this Holocaust denier today, or whether it was others- whether you’re talking about Tim McVeigh or anti-tax secessionists in Texas- the interesting thing is they’re all separate, but they’re all hearing portions of the same echo chamber, a kind of dialogue- a toxic dialogue that’s subterranean in large parts.

I don’t see any link to Tea Party protestors.
Funny, I didn’t hear CNN equating the mass-murdering terrorists who crashed a plane into the Pentagon on September 11, 2001, with Obama’s terrorist friend who also bombed the Pentagon and said in the NYT on the same date that he wished he’d done more. I would have thought that would have been a more natural parallel.

Someone walks up and kills a person in uniform. Big news, right? Only if that someone is killed by a right wing lunatic. Tiller and this guard. If the person killed is a soldier on the streets of America and the killer is a Muslim facist, its not news and nothing more is said. The double standard is glaring here.

More than one CNN commentator tried to link shooting to politics; several mentioned the "anti-abortion" slaying.
One guy (Wolfie?) listed three recent political killings - he named the "anti-abortion" guy, and the "white supremacist," but could not bring himself to use the "M" word in connection with the Little Rock Army Recruiter terrorist slaying.
Instead, the Islamist became a "Lone Wolf."
The socialists are looking for an excuse to enforce Napolitano’s DHS directive against those they label as right wing extremists before tea parties gain momentum this summer and fall.
