It's long been no secret that comedian Dave Letterman is a vicious leftist who will do and say anything to tear down anyone with conservative leanings, and he has made it a point many times to attack with disgusting, vile jokes the character of Governor Sarah Palin. The left must really fear her and the traditional values she believes in and represents to keep focusing on her with so many attempts to destroy her reputation and character. From Alan Colmes and his charge that Sarah caused her son's Down Syndrome, to the many liberal talking heads and blogs that reported that Trig was really her grandson, we can add the rumour that Sarah's husband was having sex with their daughter. Lies were also spread by liberal Democrats that Sarah went after an Alaskan state trooper on a personal vendetta, as well as many ethics charges that were made against her.

For a while, TV showed streakers and the idiots who ran on the field at big sporting events...kind of like todays car chases...they stopped putting the camera on them and everyone ignored them...guess what happened...they all but stopped dead...we still cover the fools in the car chases and they are proliferating...ignore this late night anal Stetson wearing idiot and he will be off the air...the 20-25% of the audience that thinks his relentless jokes about Sarah and her family will watch, but they won’t have the numbers and he will be canceled after his latest contract...and he should be shuffling out of there on or before Hussein leaves office...tell your friends, family, others...just don’t watch and tell the nitwits at the papers and blogs to stop printing his insipid “top ten” lists...it’s time we turn this crap off...
This is classic leftist behavior, if Letterman and his ilk can continue to demonize Governor Palin, it keeps the spotlight off of their fallen idol B’rack Insane 0baaaama, who is failing by any and every standard that applies.
Letterman simply isn’t all that funny, he was ok in a real late late night format but he was never ready for prime time which is why NBC did NOT go with him in ‘92 (to take over the Tonight Show), and the wisdom of that decision has been demonstrated time and again as Jay Leno kicked his ass up one side and down the other for 16 years.
And I fully expect Conan O’Brien to continue that fine tradition.
Proud of yourself Dave for beating up women? Although Sarah could probably knock Dave out with one punch.

Does anyone still watch the Tonight Show never-was? Jay Leno kicked his ass. Dave Letterman was someone back in the late 80’s, but he is a washed up old reprobate now.

If I were Todd Palin, I’d give Mr. Letterman a short but terse phonecall asking him to cease and desist. Else, he would need to publicly apologize to me after his doctor re-sets his nose.
I liked Letterman a lot in the 80s, and watched his show all the time. Lost a lot of enthusiasm for him when he switched to CBS, but would still take a look every now and then. Amazing how unfunny and bitter he has become in recent years. When he started these slimey hits on Palin and her family (which have been truly out-of-line), I felt ‘to hell with him,’ and I made a vow NEVER to watch him again. And I keep my vows.
I never “saw” letterman - I just never saw him as funny. I watched a couple of shows to see his guests so it isn’t like when the left complains about Rush when they’ve never listened to him.
Like you say, over the past several years he has gotten progressively worse - going from unfunny but inanely topical to overtly insulting and insufferable. I am amazed when I find anyone who isn’t a complete barking moonbat who says they watch him. I can’t imagine how short of whacking themselves in the head with a mallet, they can bring themselves to witness his nasty lamer shtick.
His “success”, and the success of other equally vitriolically ugly leftists like the skanks on the View is a measure of how far this country has fallen.
We lie about those we fear.Palin, 2012. . .by that time Letterman should be retired and fishing in Montana.
