In Obama's Cairo speech he stated that he was going to help American Muslims help fulfill their obligations to zakat, or giving to charities. This is one of the five pillars of Islam. Apparently the fact that millions of dollars donated to Islamic charities ends up in the hands of Islamic terrorists does not matter to Mr.Obama

Just last week, a federal judge in Dallas sentenced five leaders of the Holy Land Foundation for Relief and Development to between 15 and 65 years in prison after they were convicted of providing material support to Hamas.

The problem is that zakat is SUPPOSED to go to jihadis.

Zakat is NOT "charity for the poor". It is a mandatory tithe for the support of the Islamic community. Designated recipients of it include the poor, yes, BUT also the imams and those who "strive in the cause of Allah"(jihad).
