The Unified School District of Alameda California has ordered its kindergarten curriculum to incorporate a lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgendered (LGBT) lesson for grades kindergarten through five. The lesson is to be compulsory. That is, parents will not have the right to opt their kids out of the program.
Ron Mooney, the School Board Vice President, explained that “the curriculum had to be made mandatory in order to provide a balanced education. Our society is saturated with heterosexual propaganda and social pressure. Some of the worst of it comes from children’s parents themselves. To let parents take their children out of class during this lesson would reaffirm their absolute authority to impose their views on their children.”
Mooney said that “forcing all children to participate liberates them from parental mind-control and the bigotry it spawns. Children need to be exposed to alternative lifestyles before they become ‘hard-wired’ to conform to so-called social norms. We need to reach them when they are ‘plastic’ enough to receive new ideas so they can freely choose their lifestyle without undue outside interference.”

Wish it weren't so but isn't this the same school district that does want to have anti-gay bullying lectures (for real) for children starting in kindergarten?
Might as well just send the text to the Boston Globe for when that actually happens up here in Mass. Only a matter of time.

John’s satire in this one is actually IMO more like sarcasm as his presentation of the fictional dialogue is quite accurate to the Leftist mindset. Precisely what those sorts would argue should one bother to waste time doing so.
John’s talent is not only his writings IMO, but exposing the mindset if you will of the torqued Leftist life forms.

Dr. Benjamin Rush (1745-1813) was one of the youngest signers of the Declaration of Independence in 1776. Taught why the Bible should be taught in schools; and what the consquences would be if we did not.
I suppose the reason we have always taught heteralsexuality, because it has always worked, and for the good welfare of all the peoples of our nation.

Gay Curriculum Proposal Riles Elementary School Parents

A group of parents in a California school district say they are being bullied by school administrators into accepting a new curriculum that addresses bullying, respect and acceptance — and that includes compulsory lessons about the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community that will be taught to children as young as 5 years old.
The parents from the Unified School District in Alameda, a suburb of San Francisco and Oakland, say these issues are best learned at home and most definitely are not age-appropriate for elementary school children.
The parents are also angry that they will not be allowed to keep their children out of the classes.
“I believe these children are far too young to be learning about what these issues mean,” said Alaina Stewart, who has three children who attend elementary school in Alameda. “These are adult issues and they are being thrust upon the children.”
But the school board says otherwise, and its attorneys say that if the curriculum is adopted, the parents will have no legal right to remove their children from class when the lessons are being taught.
“By not allowing kids to opt out,” says David Kirwin, who has two children in the system, “the school district is violating a First Amendment right for those who have a religion that doesn’t support homosexuality.”

Guaranteed it’s what they say. The word “plastic” in the one fictitious bit of dialogue would more than likely be “malleable” IMO, but yes that is what they think and openly discuss to my experience.
