Obama's ATF&E thugs on the offensive
The Patriot Room ^ | May 18, 2009 | Clyde Middleton

Absolutely remarkable. A 51 year-old man lives with his father in a trailer. Thirty-four years ago - as a minor - the man was arrested with a friend that had forged a check. That made him a "former felon." His father collects guns. The dozen or so guns are secured in a safe. With search warrant in hand, "15 officers from the U.S. bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and local police" surround the trailer, use a battering ram on an unlocked door, throw people to the floor, point guns at their heads, handcuff them, and proceed to trash the place.

Those without concealed carry licenses—get them NOW. It will be much more difficult, if not impossible, to do so later on.

Why let them know?

There are a dozen sporting goods stores and gunshops within an hour’s drive of my house, so I usually spread around the wealth and only use cash.

“I agree. Let me ask my friend and I’ll see if I can get a few more details. She did say that one of the doctors had consulted an attorney and that one of the doctors had commented that he didn’t think he had purchased all that much.”

I wonder if a lawsuit for an injunction prohibiting such letters would work. A letter like that has NO valid purpose other than intimidation. They have the right to purchase the ammunition. The government is just trying to intimidate them into not engaging in completely legal activity. Not sure they have the right to do that.

The lawsuit would also bring some publicity to the situation and would probably back BATF down. Obama seems to be following a pattern. His agencies try something outrageous and then back down when pushed back. I suspect that if there is no pushback, they will try something a bit more outrageous.

The owner refused to cooperate without a warrant.

Good for him! But, good luck to him also.

Why would you want to encourage someone to screw themselves by:

a.)asking PERMISSION from the government to exercise a God-given RIGHT and

b.)give government notice of the fact that they own at least ONE firearm?

The whole Homeland Security and Patriot Act thingy made me nervous when thinking how President Hillary would/could abuse them. But she lost.

Tan Alinsky ("we won") will go to great lengths to villify gun owners- pitting the average, dumbed-down 'American' against 'extremist' gun owners. Ditto those who won't embrace 'immigration legalization' and most recently, those who refuse to suck-up to 'gay marriage'.Figuratively.

What happened to this trailer park dude was no different than the assualt on Miss California. In one case, you had a queer smearing a beauty contestant, in the other, you had jackboots who hold a queer concept of the second ammendment messing with a gun owner.

Hopie Changie is building a dependent class the likes of which Hugo Chavez could only dream of. I saw it in their eyes in the photos from the Latin Summit. Hugo looked like he couldn't believe it's finally coming to pass. So, he gave Hopey a book- a playbook- 'fascism for Dummies', in case he falter. Hopy's wife gave a speech to Modesto graduating dummies which could be summed up as, "Give Back!". Give back what? Income, opportunity, success? This socialist crapola makes no sense to this American. Have we sunk this far? Yes we have. Can we sink further, "Yes we can!"

Tan Alinsky is on a power trip and gun owners are a mere speed-bump on his path. He's got to knock them off as well as the homophobes and bitter bible clingers.

Basically, he's got to knock-off what it means to be a traditional American- truth (God), justice(Constitution), and the American way (Bill of Rights or freedom from oppression). Sounds corny, but it worked for Superman. This guy is kryptonite with big ears.

The only thing more outlandish than having this clown as US President would be Rev. Wright as Pope. Pope-a-dope. He can hate that which has been achieved over many centuries rather than the last two hundred years or so.

Look, these fascists are on a mission to destroy what is best in America. And, they're following the guidelines of some very smart powermongers. And, worse yet they are winning. What's worse still is that life in America will become a miserable existence if they are not stopped and there are very few options left, but there are options.

The only thing we have available now is a show of force and unity. The public can be as easily swayed by such a show as the one currently playing in Washington, D. C. I have my own idea what type of show should take place but feel free to entertain your own. It isn't about owning guns, it's about owning freedom.

"I have a dream. I have a dream that this screwed-up culture will one day realize they is shizzle. That the shizzle they fizzle on my grandchildren will one day McFizzle on they ass. That freedom will once again ring over the land. And, I wonder, why in the hell did we depart from the path of Glory to visit the lands of pain and sacrifice? Were we on a Mission of Feel Good or were we on a Mission of Goodness?

The Army of Freedom Lovers will trounce you slave-owners, again. You'll not make slaves of us anymore, try as you might. The ballerinia Bolshevics in this administration will look silly with their tutus wrapped around their necks. Guns and ammo are more American than apple pie. You can't make a pie while some sick, degenerate holds his boot on your neck. But, apple pie isn't going away anytime soon. Neither are guns.

...tells me that (apparently) doctors are being targeted by the ATF for some reason.

Means testing?

Doctors aren't lawyers, and they have (allegedly) the money to afford some really nice toys...plus, isn't there something about having a felony and being able to prescribe drugs?

For later.

I know a few guys with Class III stuff. See them at the range every once in awhile. Wonder if they have had a visit from the BATF boys yet.

Three doctors we know of recently received letters and phone calls from the BATF telling them they were on their “watch list” due to the amount of ammunition they had purchased. This happened within the past 10-14 days or so.
___________
How did they know how much ammo they purchased? There are no records for ammo purchases.

This is a good reason to always buy with cash, and never use internet suppliers.
____________
What makes you think internet suppliers give out lists to anyone? If they did, they would be out of business in no time.
I know several people that buy all of their ammo on the internet and their stash makes the guy arrested with 30,000 rounds look like a peon.

Stick around. It’s going to get much worse. Those without concealed carry licenses—get them NOW. It will be much more difficult, if not impossible, to do so later on.

Carry anyway. Or live in a state that doesn't have these fascist infringements on your 2A rights.

My friend DOES have a copy of the letter sent to one of the doctors. I asked her if I could see it or get a copy myself. I won’t be able to post it, since it’s not really my property, but I’ll definitely let you know what it says.

Obama will seek these 4 elements in a gun bill

1. An expanded HR 45, gun owner licensing. All gun owners will have to have these licenses, even owners of facilimie weapons (AKA Airsoft and BB). Licenses will only be granted if the records of the applicant are clean (This includes misdemeanors from decades ago). Licenses will have high renewal fees ($100-300/yr). Licensees will be required to hold $1 million in liability insurance. Possession of otherwise permitted weapons (See #3) without license is a felony.

2. Ammunition accountability... All ammo will be required to be microstamped and will be taxed $1/round. All non stamped ammo will be required to be turned in or thrown away. Possession of non-marked ammo is a felony. This part of the act also bans “Cop Killer” bullets. Furthermore, this will require the gun to leave a microstamp of its own on the ammo. (BTW, this will also affect law enforcement and military ammunition stocks, as they will be required to have stamps of their own)

3. Expanded “Assault Weapons” ban— This includes most all semiauto rifles, anything that can be “Bump Fired”, Semiauto handguns, and Semi-auto shotguns. It also includes pump-action shotguns and “Sniper Rifles” AKA your deer rifle. The AWB will also require people with “Prebans” to register their guns as Machine Guns, and that the tax stamp will go up to $10,000 per weapon. If you can’t afford this, you have to turn the weapon in without compensation...

4. Expansion of the Lautenberg amendment: Removes “Domestic Violence” as disqualifier to gun ownership, inserts any misdemeanor as disqualifer... Anyone with a misdemeanor on their record will be prohibited from owning a firearm. This includes DUI and traffic offenses, and offenses decades ago.

Finally, all CCW permits will be voided. Also, all gun and ammo imports will be banned.

I know what you mean!

I hear about great losses of ammo, getting too old, wet, flooded out, buried where the person forgets where it is, all the time. All the time. Someone told me about an earthquake or something, and a gully washer incident.

Over?
