I would submit to the good doctor that, in order to engage in vigorous debate, one would do well to use the proper language in description of your point. I am not aware of those who speak out against stem cell research, but I do know of many who take issue with the destruction of life that comes with embryonic stem cell research.
In a setting where the truthful exchange of ideas, or todays buzzword of dialogue, is to be engaged, it would seem a bit disingenuous for President Obama to omit the word embryonic from his teleprompter in order to use liberal talking points instead of the fair-minded words he spoke of today.

The now happened this year.The Gallup question was:”With respect to the abortion issue,would you consider yourself to be pro-choice or pro-life.In Gallup’s first poll in 1995 pro- choice won 56% to 33%.In 2009(NOW)for the first time in 14 years pro-life WON 51% to 42%.Another recent poll by I believe Fox had almost the same results in favor of pro -life.LET US REJOICE AND BE GLAD!
I have been trying to make this point whenever and wherever this lie of omission occurs. I am glad you wrote this column. We pre-life Americans need to take control of the language.

I stated on another thread that I would support standing and turning away from the speaker. If I were scheduled to be a graduate, I would have encouraged an alternative ceremony, one attended by the many school and church officials who believe Obama disagrees with one or more of the basic tenets of the church.
As you know, a substantial number of legal experts argue abortion is legal today because the USSC wrongfully decided Roe v Wade. Unfortunately, no matter the view of even a vast majority of the public, that case is not likely to be overturned in the foreseeable future and abortion will remain legal.
So, quite apart from abortion, our nation has got to quickly understand the overall threat it is facing and take meaningful action at the ballot box
