I was surfing the cable channels one afternoon when I landed on an old black and white movie about a young man in his late twenties who agreed to go out on a blind date. The guy was very handsome and his prospective date was top model material.
Their date started with a walk on the beach, followed by a formal diner, and then a movie. At the end of the first evening he dropped her off at her place and went home. A few days later they would repeat the process. On the third date they retreated to her place after the movie and found themselves engaged in a little physical intimacy while listening to soft music. The girl interrupted the moment and instructed the young man to take off his shoes and make himself at home as she retreated to the bedroom to slip into something a little more comfortable. It was at this moment that I closed my eyes and was taken back in time to my first blind date and the frightening outcome.

Well, it did happen to a buddy of mine from high school. He went out on a date and found out later that it was a guy. That was after he had kissed “her”...., too.... LOL...

My first (and last) blind date lived up to every blind date horror story imaginable, but at least she was a female (I think).

I was set up for a blind date one time in my life. Whew, she was 4’10” one eye looked forward one was not even close and had a receding hairline. I took her out to dinner.
However, my date emerged from the bedroom as an alpaca.
In the summer of 1979 I was working as a busboy/dishwasher in the restaurant at the downtown Seattle Bon Marche.

One of my friends said that happened to him in San Francisco in 1966. He would never tell me what happened after he discovered she was a he. ;0)

He wasn’t bragging about that. He was in a state of disbelief or shock. He would never tell me what he did after he discovered the wrong equipment on that “girl”.
He was warning us about the possibility of false advertising. What you see may not be what you get. ;0)
