In January, Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC)called Gitmo a "well run jail".
He advocates for trying detainees in military courts, not civilian courts, but he agrees with Obama's "need to start over."
Like Obama, Graham says "we don't know" where to put the detainees when convicted.

I just got off the phone, actually I kinda hung up on the dear young lady who was pushing this, but they wanted my ‘pledge’ for the RNC. I refused to send them anything and told them why. If they don’t get back to conservative values, I want nothing to do with them. She got very pushy and I finally just said goodbye and hung up on her. Hope she got the message.
