I've talked to a lot of people who have indicated that they would LIKE to get involved to reclaim their country, but they just don't know how.
Well, going to a tea party would be a good start toward "getting involved." And all you've got to do is show up.
There's been a sustained mainstream media movement to try to marginalize the tea party movement - even though tens of thousands of people have already participated in them, with undoubtedly far more Americans likely to show up in protest tomorrow on April 15.
I'll be one of them.
Neil Cavuto issued a tremendous smackdown on liberal host Leslie Marshall, who - in maintaining that the tea parties were a sham - kept asking what their message was. Cavuto had been talking about the massive new government "stimulus" spending commitments to the tune of over $11 trillion dollars. Even Marshall agreed that the spending was excessive. And when she kept asking, "What are you asking for with your protests?" Neil Cavuto finally utterly silenced her by pointing out the obvious: "Stop! Stop."
The message of the tea parties isn't to vote for one party or another. We're not protesting who is running our government; we're protesting what they're doing. We're protesting pork projects. We're protesting stimulus bills to nowhere. We're protesting irresponsible spending and irresponsible bailouts and irresponsible government takeovers of private corporations. The message is "STOP!" Stop spending these trillions of dollars. Millions of Americans realize that this insane government spending will probably ruin this country in our generation, and will certainly ruin it in our children's generation.
I hope you show up to your tea party. We have to start making a stand somewhere.
Here's the link so you can look up the tea party in your state, and in your area:

Yes, but I have to work tomorrow to pay for those dang-blamed taxes!

Bring small American or bigger American flags. Bring friends, neighbors, family, etc.
I do know where my teap party is. (Morristown, NJ) What I don’t know is what I should be expecting to do there.

I don’t, either. But I know if I don’t show up I’ll never find out.
I’m going to there to stand up. I’m going there to take part in SOMETHING. I’m going there to be counted - even if there’s nobody in the media who will count us.

Thanks. I didn’t think about a flag. I’ll bring the flag I fly on the house.
Heck YEAH!
Richmonders: downtown 8th and Canal @6:00 PM! Lots of parking and they are ready for us! Doc T. will be there and it should be a blast!
If it rains like today, laugh and show that the birthplace of the Revolution can take a few raindrops and shows the meaning of PROTEST!
In before the “Tea Parties won’t accomplish anything” crowd.
I almost think more flags than signs. The stinking media cannot say anything bad if you have flags. My guys is OBot moles will have bad signs and they will be staged to stand next to some camera crew.
In before the Tea Parties wont accomplish anything crowd.

There’s absolutely no chance that they WILL accomplish anything unless enough people make the commitment to show up.
Personally, I have no idea whether or not they will “accomplish anything.” But I’m scared enough and angry enough that I won’t pass up any opportunity to make a difference at this point.
I’m tired of seeing my country get pissed away a trillion dollars at a time.
Yep, and I just rechecked/confirmed the date/time and location. :)
Oh, yeah, exercise your 2nd Amendment right to Keep and Bear arms.
It’s tea time people. Let’s go. The Libs and the media want to call us right wing extremists for attending this? Let’s show them just how many “right wing extremists” there are in this country.
The Long Distance Tea Party Plan is designed so that Anyone, Anywhere can participate with a home phone or cell phone. We’re Calling The White House and Congress beginning at Noon Tomorrow.
Help Jam their switchboards and overflow their email inboxes. We can leave them quaking in their overpriced shoes.
Only a such simultaneous flood of calls will get the attention of our elected officials and does not depend on news media coverage to be effective.
Go to

and print out the 1 page copy of this simple but effective plan.
Other people to Call:
The NY Times Exec Office Phone Number 212-556-1234
Your Senator/Congressman’s Local (not DC) Office
State and Local officials
If you can’t go to a Tea Party, at LEAST go to a “jam party” and jam the White House switchboard. Good idea!
