Bull. The attacks on Rush are what they always are: sound bites taken completely out of context and then magnified in an attempt to skew the opinions of those who do not listen to him, influence sponsors and potential sponsors, and eventually drive him off the air.

This has been going on for years. Michael Stinson did it with takebackthemedia.com (.org?). The Left did with the Michael J. Fox non-scandal, saying that Rush was making fun of Fox’s malady. He wasn’t. He started out that program by saying that he had seen Michael J. Fox in an ad and he didn’t understand why he was shaking. He had never seen that before. He didn’t know that Fox had Parkinson’s. Listeners who DID know called and explained Fox’s condition to him. As the conversation evolved, Rush realized aloud that the Democrats and the McCaskill campaign were using Michael J. Fox to misrepresent her Republicans opponent’s stand on stem cell research. Instead, the media portrayed Rush as “heartless”, and the DittoCam feed of him describing the way Fox was shaking was looped in an effort to make him look like he was making fun of Fox.

Then there was the phony soldier non-scandal. A caller was talking about Jesse MacBeth, an anti-war activist who claimed that he was an Iraq vet, but he had actually washed out of basic training. Rush made a comment that MacBeth was a phony soldier — because he WAS. But Harry Reid and others once again misled people by saying that Rush was claiming that ANY soldier who opposed the war was a “phony soldier”, something that Rush had never said.

Then there was “Barack, the Magic Negro”, a parody that was based on a column by an African-American Democrat in the LA Times called “Obama the Magic Negro”, along with articles by liberals that wondered aloud if he was “black enough” to be their candidate, some characteristically buffoonish remarks by Joe Biden, and some openly jealous behavior of Al Sharpton. The media called the parody “racist”, and actually tried to resurrect the charge several times over a period of a couple of years. The parody wasn’t “racist”, it was poking fun at liberal attitudes toward race, and Al Sharpton.

So now we have the “I hope he fails” non-scandal. The media neglected to mention the entire monologue leading up to those four words, which explained in detail the direction in which Rush believes Obama is trying to take the country, and why Rush believes that this direction is totally wrong and downright harmful. Instead, they made Rush sound like he was being petty and mean and partisan for the sake of being partisan.

The list goes on and on and on. Rush Limbaugh is a huge threat to the Left, and that’s why they are constantly trying to smear and demean him. They are trying to drive him off the air.

Michael Steele DID owe an apology to Rush, NOT the other way around.

You are welcome. I really don't understand why so many Pubbies recently fell over themselves to distance themselves from Rush, Ann Coulter, et al. Character (or lack thereof, is as good as any explanation)

PS: Adore your tagline!

Quite frankly, it is you who are naive, and your analysis shows it. Politics ain’t beanbag, kid. And right now, we have a country to save. I could care less about the GOP.

Almost stopped reading the rest of the thread right here. Your post so succinctly nailed it, nothing else needed saying.

Only reason I stayed on thread was to watch the VKs play.

Maybe you should tune into Fox News, CNN, or any news media.

You ARE kidding, aren't you? The DBM (drive by media for you DUmmies) is a bunch of lying SOBs. They DID NOT tell the truth about Hussein.

Obama caused Obama’s win. Your analysis is so naive it’s ridiculous. The economy caused Obama’s win. The incendiary attacks by McCain on Obama’s associations caused Obama’s win. Sarah Palin’s interviews which became a laughing stock in the news media caused Obama’s win. You have to face the facts.

No way, the DBM's failure to present hard FACTS to DUmmies and the public caused many to defect from the (R) candidate. You and others probably thought that Gov Palin actually said "I can see Russia from my house" and never heard that Hussein said he had campaigned in all 57 states, except Alaska and maybe another one. Even a moron like you probably knows there are only 50 states.

If you actually for once, talked to a person who voted for Obama, as to why they didn’t want to vote for McCain, you’d figure out the facts.

I have and 99% are as STUPID as you are, and drank so much of Hussein's KOOL AID that you have stomach cramps. When you have 95% of blacks vote for the black candidate, you see no problem with it - but if 95% of whites had voted for McPain, Hussein would be back in Chicago where he belongs. The man had NO experience. 145 days as an Illinois senator is not enough for him to be president. If any white senator with so little experience had run for either ticket, he/she would have been the laughing stock of the party.

Not all of them are rabid liberals.

No, but anyone who voted for Hussein is totally stupid. He cannot put an intelligent sentence together without having to read it from a script/teleprompter. TOTUS is his crutch and the liberals know he will be toast if ever confronted by really hard questions. Remember Joe the Plumber? Caught your hero offguard and he spouted off that he DID intend to "spread the wealth" of rich Americans. What happened to Joe? Hussein's nazi goons came after him, just like they sent an army of reporters to Alaska to find one shred of evidence to use against GOV Palin.

I know you have been banned already, but you will probably return as another poster or read some replies. Here is a final farewell shot.

The last election should’ve disabused you of that notion you’ve got in that head of yours...

The LAST thing the Republicans need to do is allow propaganda to influence the way they do their jobs... Their job is NOT to bend to the will of the People.

Their job is to TAKE INTO CONSIDERATION what the people are asking, and then check that against the CONSTITUTION before agreeing or disagreeing to support their ideas.

In an election the voting public is NOT endorsing one set of beliefs or wants over another — they are voting for what they view as a “lesser evil”. When both parties introduce proposals that are anathema to our Constitution and our other laws what choice is there really left for the people. It’s not like there are a whole lot of people standing up for them and saying — “Hey you shouldn’t be doing this!”.

The insta-support and enthusiasm received for Palin should’ve given you a clue as well... The U.S. is clamoring for another Conservative like Reagan, and all we keep getting is “Dem-lite & slow”.

As part of the “ruling class” the Republicans in the RNC right now should be pouring back over their history books if they don’t see what’s happening right in front of them in Washington. If we don’t stop and COMPLETELY REVERSE course on the “Dem-lite” proposals and support we’re going to lose our country — and incidentally the RNC won’t be around anymore, unless they’re planning to abandon ship and jump into the Communist party at that point to retain some scrap of power.

Here’s an idea for the RNC — in order to REALLY compare whether the public is “for or against” the Dem-lite agenda; subtract from your totals all the contributions that you could possibly relate to lobbying-type efforts, and see what you are left with. The reality is that a huge chunk of your incoming fundraising from the “little people” has dried up. You really should see then that the only ones who support your proposals are the ones who benefit from it — like the corrupt businessmen in our country.

If the RNC really wants to do something to stop the Democrats they have to force a choice to some of these RINOs. You either leave the party, or resign because things are getting quite ridiculous. We have half of the people in Washington who say they are Republicans voting for a Bill of Attainder law, and the RNC says nothing...

Their silence on some of these issues says a lot...

"and it shows that in order for Republicans to win elections they NEED to act like Democrats."

Bull. People like leaders. The RATS acted liked leaders and took the reigns. RINOS PLAYED THE FOLLOWERS. The American people do not like followers leading them.

"If there are a lot of Republican politicians acting too much like Democrats, that means Democratic ideologies are spreading into Republican territory as PROVEN by this last election,"

Again, bull. Look at what is happening now. The RINOS are finally coming out of their daze and acting like leaders and the support for TOTUS and his "changes" are dropping like lead.

"GOP did not cause Obama’s win."

They most certainly did. The behaved like followers and were treated as such. They have finally found their backbone and look at whats happening. TOTUS is dropping like lead.

Another thing. All the people who voted for TOTUS in my office NO LONGER SPEAK OF HIM. There is no "what a terrific job he is doing", just silence. Heck, we have also heard of "regret" and "what have we done (not from them, from our patients)".

Steele may be the leader of the Republican Party but he is not the leader in Conservative ideas and they are two different things.

Rush Limbaugh is the leader and voice of a very large group of conservative people and ideas. That same group of people that the Republican party claim they support but of late have failed to show in action what they claim in their speeches.

If the Republican Party wants to win elections THEY better start listening to people like Rush and NOT the other way around. And not just listening but act like the conservative party they claim to be.

As to Rush’s opinions, you will find that they MIRROR the majority of conservatives ideas, not shape as you imply. All conservatives obviously don’t have a radio audience like Rush or may not have the ability to express those opinions as well as Rush does.

Don’t confuse the common goals and ideas of the conservative group (again, not the Republican Party as of late) which understands the issues, with those on the left who don’t understand the issues and simply follow their elected officials in blind obedience.

You need to understand that most people would not agree with you.

And you know this because of the extensive market research on conservatism you've done? This is just your unsupported opinion and your opinion is like your @sshole. Everyone has one, but no one other than you is interested in yours.

You need to think differently.

Well I'll give you that with that statment you've shown that you're arrogant and pompous enough to think like a politician, but sorry jack I don't need to think any way but the way I already do.
