Early this month, Michael Steele said that Rush Limbaugh was "an entertainer" and that his comments were usually "incendiary" and "ugly" on the Hughley Show. As a Republican politician is expected to, he must convince people and compromise on ideas when necessary. Michael Steele was right to emphasize that he is the Republican Party leader not Rush Limbaugh. Later however, he apologized to Rush Limbaugh about those comments, confirming Hughley's fear that Rush Limbaugh was the "De facto leader" of the Republicans.
I don't believe that Steele should have apologized, Rush is not the leader of this party, he's just one voice out of many.

No..
You can disagree with the author, but we have been throwing everyone including McCain under the bus as “weak”, “not good enough” and putting blame on our leaders when there were so many other factors to put blame on.
Rush is a straw man. Maybe you should tune into Fox News, CNN, or any news media. It’s always Democrats attacking Rush, and it’s helping them. Rush is not doing a good job of defending himself. He’s actually making it worse, by looking more aggressive and saying more outrageous things than ever, he makes people confirm what these Democrats were saying about him.
Perhaps, if you hadn’t listened to Rush so much you wouldn’t be whining about George Bush getting elected as you are now.
GOP did not cause Obama’s win. Obama caused Obama’s win. Your analysis is so naive it’s ridiculous. The economy caused Obama’s win. The incendiary attacks by McCain on Obama’s associations caused Obama’s win. Sarah Palin’s interviews which became a laughing stock in the news media caused Obama’s win. You have to face the facts. You can’t just blame Republicans as being weak... That’s such a bad excuse and has no merit.
If you actually for once, talked to a person who voted for Obama, as to why they didn’t want to vote for McCain, you’d figure out the facts. Not all of them are rabid liberals. Some of them are sensible people who voted for Obama because of an arsenal of reasons which were used by the Democratic campaign. The Republicans could not defend themselves because their reasons were valid, not because they couldn’t defend themselves.
This is what is destroying conservatism from the inside. Obama doesnt have to lift a finger.
I think he's already talking to a zero voter. That would be you.
All you do is label and blame McCain with different name-calling like as if you could have done any better in his position. This is a prime example of arrogance.
No one is “determined to destroy conservatism” where do you get this ridiculous line of thought? If he was determined as such why would he run for Republican chairman? If he was so determined to attack conservatism ? Why is he spending all his time defending it? Why did people vote for him? You’re being ridiculous.
I’m telling you, if there was any other candidate instead of McCain, he would have probably had same results or similar results.
I voted for McCain... I don’t get your odd assumption.
Get lost, you deranged troll.
No, some are actual marxists but most of them are f*cking idiots! I have talked to enough of them to know what the hell they are.
Well that’s obvious buddy. I agree with you most are f*ing idiots. But that doesn’t mean some of them aren’t smart. We aren’t at a 60% stupidity rate in America. There are many educated people that did vote for Obama, and they had some good reasons. Though a lot had HORRIBLE reasons, so I agree.
I’m with You,
and EXIT82
I’m a troll because I don’t agree with the mainstream “free republic” commenters?
Dissent must not exist? You sound like one of those global warming nut cases.
No. Arrogance is plopping BS 'rat propaganda, better suited for DU, on the premier conservative site.
There are many educated people that did vote for Obama, and they had some good reasons.OK, list the 'good reasons' why edumcated people voted for the marxist-in-chief. Go ahead.
The only nut case here is you.
BTW, your blog s*cks.
No. You are disagreeing with the owner of this site and his purpose for hosting the site.
Bingo. On target, fire at will, fire for effect. Pour it on!!!!
Keep it up, sparky. Your days as a newbie FReeper are numbered.
