Why did he stop on radio??
Would love to read your thoughts...
When he called FR a hate site did it for me.I wont watch him if he was the thing on TV.What a waste of space on Fox.
I heard him occasionally. He stank.
He reflexively dismissed people who were too liberal or too conservative—but rarely gave a rational explanation. He just called them “loons.”
He repeatedly asserted that Obama is a citizen. Of course, he never cited any evidence, since there is none.
Working several jobs sucks - he’s tired.
“more importantly where is Larry Elder??? I miss him.”
Me too. Larry used to be on WLS (taped) starting at midnight several years ago. Then they replaced him when the brought back Coast to Coast with George Nory which is possibly the most boring person on radio.
Okay. he’s almost in his 70’s. :o)
As he has said many times, TV is a group operation -- producers, directors, camera people, writers, meetings, meetings, meetings ... Radio is just Rush and the golden EIB mike. He chose wisely.
He is a populist.
He never tries to change minds on tough questions
Trying to change minds or not, I want to know what an editorialist believes.
Unlike radio, Rush was totally at the mercy of whatever stations wanted. Most of the stations did not have him in prime time, but usually between 1 and 3 AM when there is almost no audience whatsoever. He did not possess the clout like Leno had at NBC or Letterman at CBS.
Compared even to Hannity, I found him boring.
He was even worse on the radio than he is on TV. Especially when he had a woman on the air with him...he couldn’t help but flirt with her obnoxiously the whole time.
Geeze is Rush going to be the excuse/fall guy for everything now.
Its Rushes Fault. (rollng my eyes)
His show failed because he is full of @#$%, and everyone knows it. The only thing that matters to BOR is BOR, and after he stuck his nose up 0bama’s idea maker, I could tolerate him no more.
I expect he will fail in tv at some point too, because his show has about two crap segments on current affairs, then about 8 segments on crap from the 50’s and pop quizzes for fox employees. Personally, I find playing video games more educational and informative than BOR in any format...
The business of radio stations is to deliver the largest possible audience of a targeted demographic to advertisers. To garner that audience they have to provide entertainment and/or personalities which will draw in those targeted folks. Failure to deliver (poor ratings) gets a show canceled. Ratings = money.
My guess is he thought why work twice as hard when he saw Obama coming in to take half. He mentioned this on the radio before. Why bust your hump so the Feds can take it? He doesn't need it anymore, he has all the money he needs.
Because He is a Pompous Ass, Pithy Enough
The few times I listened to BOR’s radio show, I got the distinct feeling that he hated the idea of having to take calls from listeners. In other words, he wasn’t comfortable with the format and it showed.
60 is the new 70.
It’s hard being a jerk 24x7.
