GM workers blame their fellow Americans for their problems(video)

GM workers just don't get it(video)

GM is facing almost sure bankruptcy. UAW members fail to accept any responsibility. They feel they have given "concession after concession" over the last twenty years. This flies in the face of a current contract worth over $70 thousand a year per employee. They feel they have given up everything they can in spite of refusing to take a base wage pay cut during the recent negotiations. The truth is the UAW failed to give any serious concessions in the recent bailout negotiations. They actually blame their fellow Americans for not buying their overpriced, poorly made vehicles. Watch the video of UAW members being interviewed. GM workers video here.

Boo boo f’n hoo...

I said it once, I’ll say it again...the unions can bury themselves into the ground by their absolute greed, ignorance and incompetence and NO ONE will miss them...

GM’s cars are no more American made than the Toyota. Half the parts are from Mexico or Canada.

I have driven GM products all my life until I bought a Toyota. Now I see why others did so before me.

The one car I won’t part with is my wife’s 95 Roadmaster, but in their wisdom they stopped making those.

Just think of how many billions of dollars ahead we would be had we let GM default in the first place.
I think that goes for AIG too.

Buy whatever you want...

In the meantime, I remember the doofus who took away the tax write off for buying vehicles - sure didn’t help the auto industry.

I buy American as much as possible b/c regardless of what you want to believe, American profits go to Americans and America. Foreign company profits go, well, to the foreign company’s company and country.

Do you get this at all? Forget that some Americans are paid by foreigners. Just look at the overall picture.

Not only that but our own country has made it far more lucrative for other countries to dump their cars, steel and MORE while WE Americans can’t get the other countries to take our stuff unless we pay huge tariffs.

of course, you never even thought to buy a Ford, eh?

You have a bad experience and then you jump to the “enemy” (my word for the foreign profiteers). Meanwhile, I had bought a Mazda years ago and it was a total piece of junk. Everyone can tell a story I’m sure.

The UAW has millions of employees and for you to ascribe them all the same political, philosophical, and other beliefs is just plain ridiculous; it’s like saying everyone in my city has the same beliefs. How dumb can you be? Apparently, quite.

Meanwhile, the TRULY brainwashed of this country, our lovely academics, are still held up on a pedestal.

That is such a lie and it makes me angry. I don’t mind a difference of opinion but please at least be honest.

When GM folds, who will ever hire those UAW workers?

Soon enough, there will be nothing left but small businesses, and nobody who runs a small business will hire a washed up union hack.

Oh, by the way, I love my Toyota.

Agree.....I can’t reference or quote , post a link etc yet I read that 90 plus percent of toyota parts are made in US. Whereas less than 40% of “parts” for Big 3 are made in CONUS !

Last NEW vehicle I bought was an 06 4x4 Dodge w/ a cummins engine. I wanted the cummins and a coworker was selling his due his enlistment in the service so I got it a month old with 8000 miles on it for almost 12k less than his purchase price.

I am currently stuffing a cummins engine into a 92 FJ80 landcruiser as a project. Painless wiring made a perfect harness for the swap and thus far all is well ! Completion is about 90 days off as it’s a weekend project !....LOL !

My other two rides are restored classics.....yet not street rods or collector grade rides. Just old pickup and a 4 door commuter that I stripped down, replaced the drive train and repainted, new upholstery etc and cheap registration, insurance and inspection fees due their antique / classic classification.

Just what I am doing....... agree on the AIG comment as well !

Stay safe !

"...of course, you never even thought to buy a Ford, eh?"

The first new car that I ever owned was a Ford Escort. That was not a good experience for me. Timing belt went out around 50K, head gasket before 70K. Is that unusual? I don't know. I do know that it was not convenient for me while I was still making payments.

I am in fact an excellent driver. I have a CDL and I have driven big rigs in Europe and in the USA. Admittedly though, I am better at breaking vehicles than I am at fixing them or even taking care of them.

My issues with the Chevy last SUV were the stupidest problems ever. Rear window wiper never worked, door hinges broke, no heat in winter, no AC in Summer, idiot lights off and on randomly, way more than that, and most frustratingly Dealerships that were totally not consumer friendly, and run by liars and cheats.

Bottom line, GM products are inferior in my personal experience. My history with my "new" Ford was even worse.

My Camry runs just fine and the only time that I have ever had problems is when other drivers have slammed into my car.

I do not think that it is all coincidence.

UAW retards are mostly leftists (look at the election returns for towns where UAW members live to see my point) who b-tch that someone somewhere is making a superior product without their inflated yoo-yun wages.

Good bye and good riddance. I swear, Andrew Carnegie was right to crack some yoon-yun skulls back in the say.

Union = Socialist.

I assume it is a different Cummins than the 06 Dodge. Is it a 4BT?

I like the concept...building your own ride.

You can make whatever you want for a fraction of the cost of a new car, and having done it yourself, you know it's American-made.

Sure... you know every single person and all about them. Right, pal. I’m no fan of unions but I am not so flip about broadbrushing everyone like you are. As for retards, let me tell you something. My husband is a blue-collar man and I’d take him, hands-down, any day over the retards that many of my chums married - the boring white collar accountants and lawyers. Meanwhile, my husband and a lot of his blue-collar pals actually know how to build and fix things - you know... REAL work. As for who REALLY screwed up this country, let me enlighten you, it was NOT the union guys, it was, in fact, the type of people that you seem to think are so lilly-white; the Wall Street “barons” and CEO’s and greedy execs at a number of companies.

I believe there are good and bad people in all walks of life. A lot of my husbands co-workers and friends, who are all in a union, are born-again Christians who have all consistently voted a pro-life ticket these past many years. They are good family men, take care of their children, and so on. Many have fought for this country as well.

I don’t know what your problem is, but you definitely have one and it appears to be a doozy.

Well I’ve had bad experiences with Jap Crap, so what can I say. I don’t get your experience any more than you get mine. Meanwhile, let’s see how this thing plays out. A lot of people’s salaries have been predicated on the “union’s” wages. It’s not going to be good for anyone.

As for bad dealerships, that’s like all the bad experiences I have had with lawyers. Again, what can I say. Anecdotal evidence is useful but it does not often point to anything equivocal.
