Here is video of Rep. Tom Tancredo assessing the performance the other night of Gov. Bobby Jindal in giving the GOP Response to President Barack Obama's address. In short, Tancredo says Jindal's content was great but his delivery was lousy. In fact, he says it was so lousy that his performance may have "put the last nail in the coffin" on his chances of becoming President. Tancredo says Jindal is a great intellect but did not show himself to be a "leader" in his speech.
Tancredo believes Gov. Mitt Romney is best positioned now to lead the GOP forward in 2012. Tancredo made the comments during an interview at CPAC today, February 26, 2009.
As I said the other night, I believe Jindal's content was great but his delivery certainly could have been better. But I just don't think that speech will end Jindal's chances for the Presidency. He still has a very bright future, and could be the next GOP President in 2016 if not in 2012. Remember, everyone laughed off Bill Clinton after his disastrous speech at the Democratic Convention in 1988 that went on and on and on. But four years later, he became President. Four years is a very long time in politics. I would not count Jindal out just yet. . . . . (Watch Video)

Good grief, give the guy a break, it is still early yet.
Oh, PUHLEEEEEEEEEEEEEZE!
What has Tancredo been drinking/smoking to think that Romney could lead Conservatives forward?
I generally agree with Tancredo, but Jindal's career is far from over.
Bobby Jindal may have some good ideas, but he’s no Sarah Palin!
If he's supporting a Mormon, he really shouldn't oughtta be smoking' or drinkin' anything! ;-)
So Tancredo is runining already.
Was it sabotaged? Sound quality, lighting etc.
Have seen some on here saying that he can easily speak for 30 minutes or more without even using notes. Better than the One can do.
I hope so, because Jindal is a Rhodes Scholar just like Bill Clinton, and they are part of the Illuminati...or aka: The New World Order, which uses whomever from whichever party to accomplish their goal.
Note: Obama and Hillary did not meet at Feinstein’s house in June08, when Obama ditched the press at Dulles Airport...the Bildeberger Meeting was 12 miles away that day in Chantilly, Va...puts more emphasis on WHY AND WHO are working to reduce the US from capitalism to marxism/communism. Spending us into oblivion must be the plan.
Good God! It wasn’t THAT bad.
Mrs. RQSR and myself don’t understand this piling on Jindal at all. We were applauding him throughout his speech. The only negative seemed the sound quality that was out of his control wasn’t exactly the best.
Am I the only one on here who thinks that all these FReepers drinking the MSM koolaid and dumping on Jindal are jumping the gun just a little bit?
Does ANY Republican officeholder even realize the seriousness and the real danger of Hussein's rule?
CPAC had better have some ruthless SOBs speak...or we will have to begin to look amongst each other for an unknown leader.
Well then Tancredo is either:
A) stupid
B) delusional, or
C) should at LEAST offer to share his drugs with the rest of us.
Why do people have to be such drama queens. Aside from the fact that the next election is still a long ways off, the guy is 37. He could run in 2020 he won’t even be 50 and nobody will remember this.
From what I've heard, Jindal got some last minute advice about delivery, etc. and unwisely took it. General rule - it's always better to be yourself, even if giving a speech on national television. Don't feel like you have to do something with your voice to "not sound monotone". Just speak like you would to the person standing next to you. Make sure you know your stuff, because it's far, far easier to improvise and make ad lib expansions about a topic you know a lot about than it is something you had to cram to learn about.
Was it sabotaged?
______
If it was, it was done by the GOP.
