Santelli did not like the remarks by White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs and even pondered if it was a ‘Veiled Threat’ by making a bizarre reference to "not knowing where Mr. Santelli lives, or in what house he lives."

Rick, reserve your bunk now!

I have a feeling there will be lots of folks we know in this shot down the road.

Heck, WE’LL probably be some of them!

Dibs on the bottom bunk (for at least the first -- and probably the ONLY --night I'll spend there)!!

The Chicago Daley Political/Crime Machine Mob and the Clinton/Clinton Dixie Mafia/Raum Emmanuel (table stabber and dead fish expert) hard at work.

I wonder if they will send someone to jog with his wife and mention their cat's name?

scarburough was doing a fluff fest with Gibbs today. Essentially trying to make him a “nice guy”.

It only furthered the notion that Obama is an administration of lightweights.

Remember when Tony Snow too the office of WH press secretary? Now there was a person who had the gravitas of the office. I may not have agreed with all he said but I still had respect for him.

Gibbs is not even worthy of his shadow.

Agreed. It was a strange statement for Gibbs to make that, at first, sounded like a threat to me, too - probably to most of us. But then he went into talking about other people’s mortgages, etc. It seemed he was trying to compare Mr. Santelli living in a nice house with other Americans struggling. Same old, tired Democrat line. But, probably not an actual “threat”.

Journalists were invited to lunch with BO today. It was reported on CNBC that Rick Santelli was discussed AGAIN by that pasty-faced yes-man, Gibbs. He again said that Santelli hadn’t read BO’s plan to save the world and that’s why he made those remarks...which is a lie.
BO really cannot stand to have any criticism, and as thin-skinned as he is, some high-octane needling could lead to an impressive melt-down in the future. Just sayin’....

Gibbs sounds like a ‘Teamster’ to me.
They always seem to know where you live and the names of your wife and kids...

It came off sounding very bare-toothed ugly, but at the least offensive minimum it was a knee-jerk attempt to discredit the man by appeal to populist resentment. “Don’t listen to Santelli, he’s a disconnected rich guy, not of the people!”
The most remarkable thing is how naturally it burst through, like an unexpected dog bite.
I expect Gibbs got a smack on the snout for it when his master caught up with him later.

Throws into sharp relief what the signers of the Declaration of Independence were putting on the line. Obviously there was no cable TV, and King George III didn’t have a Robert Gibbs, but the dynamics are more or less the same.
