Warsaw Ghetto. Darfur. Katrina. Some people call it the sky falling, SHTF, or in the words of the President, Catastrophe. I call it the worst case scenario. Since the November 4th mistake, The Dow is down 2000 points. Even more since the 2006 elections put the Socialists in charge of the economy. Reasonable people are now alarmed into buying guns for the first time in their life, with a president telling them catastrophe is possible.

yes you cannot find a place to shoot it in the city but the ammunition is cheap and I would love to have a ruger 10/22 in my home at my disposal (as it is right now) if somebody came to the door who wanted to do me harm. Imagine if you can shoot a squirrel at 40 yrds in the head.....I could imagine it could easily pin down perps from the same or greater distance.
yes......what use is an unloaded weapon? Am I going to toss my Glock mag into a sock and wack a guy over the head when he is pointing a SW 357 at me in bed?
Teach everyone in your home to handle and fire your guns.
If we’re talking handguns in the home, whatever the caliber, a revolver is the best because it is simple to load and if it misfires, you just pull the trigger again. I would personally recommend a .38 or larger.
Use Glazer or Mag Safe ammo. If you miss, the bullet won’t go through the wall and kill someone innocent, but if it hits the bad guy, he’s in for one very bad day.
If everyone had a gun and were encouraged to carry them openly and use them liberally, we wouldn’t really need government for much. It’s the only honest form of democracy.
Compared to the rest of the world at the time, the Old West was a nice place to be. Class wars, gang riots, and crime sprees ended quicker than you can say ‘Winchester’.

Yes... and then you take the mag out of the sock and shoot the b@stid!
Yep...Mossberg 500, eight shot mag tube, running alternating double-ought (00) and deer slugs, with a deer slug out first. Even better if outfitted with a Pachmyr Vindicator kit. Might want to scale down to #2 shot and skip the deer slugs if you never take it outside.
Also, Chas Daly 1911A1 .45 semi-auto. Fitted with Chip McCormick 8-shot mags, it’s an excellent house gun. I like good ol’ 180 grain ball ammo for indoor use.
Third choice is any good .357 magnum revolver. You can run .38 ammo if you wish, but the magnum loads are faster, flatter, and offer more knock down in my experience. I like Dan Wesson, S&W, Ruger, and Colt. My favorite load is a 125 grain jacketed flat point on Unique powder and a magnum primer from CCI.

Agreed. And much of the discontent we’re feeling now is because we’ve “suffered a long train of abuses”, to quote the Declaration of Independence.

A well-regulated militia does not mean one burdened with massive regulations and bureaucratic legalities, but rather a “well-practiced” one... as in effective.

Guns are great for protection.. What concerns me is mobs burning down your house with you in it.. Short of building a fireproof bomb shelter and owning an assault weapon.. What kind of protection is there for that? Prayer is my guess.
That little nugget is overlooked by everyone...
