You won't believe this one. But, then again, you might. A blogsite called Newstin (is that short for tin news?) is now rating blog posts based on wording *tone,* not truth. This is right out of the novel Fahrenheit 451 or George Orwell's novel 1984. Apparently, any content that is negatively *toned* toward Leftist ideas are labeled *negatively toned.* The web masters at Newstin call their monitoring program *Sentiment Analysis*
Excerpted from Newstin - http://www.newstin.com/tag/us/103990119 Sentiment Analysis is a tool developed by Newstin to indicate the overall tone of an article i.e., whether it has a positive, negative or neutral feel to it. For example, an article about an oil spillage at sea would most likely contain negative wording due to the effects of the incident. Our Sentiment-o-Meter provides readers with an indication of the tone of an article without reading it. Red represents negative tone, green positive and grey is for neutral tone: The higher the scale of the colour (from bottom to top), the greater the degree of the given sentiment.
George Orwell come to life.
Oh goody! I got a tone for them...
Well, they may as well add mine to their list. I have posted letters that I have sent to Zero. I have nothing good to say about him or his cohorts.
Considering liberals/communists are the most hate-filled, vile, totalitarian, violent idiots on the planet, can we expect leftist web sites will be marked as “Hate” sites?
Sounds like a good opportunity for some conservatives to start up a blog monitoring business and rate things using an inverted scale.
How's THIS for a tone.......
FROM MY COLD DEAD HANDS!
I copied and pasted the address, went to the site and a an FR post was the first one there. “The Real Green Paradox: Staying in City May Reduce C02, But Importing City Water is Unsustainable”. It was, of course, negatively rated.
I would have inserted a link but that garbage doesn’t deserve the hits IMO.
This is a DATA MINER, not a BLOG.
Should be well supported with Saudi venture capital ~ would need to do more search on that but odds are.........
The posting from FreeRepublic you cited is authored by me. That is what alerted me to this website, which also rates *news* as well as *blogs.*
These socialist sites are worthless waste of time. For news stick with Brietbart.
I think all freepers are infamous by now.
Civil Rights Organization seeks civil rights actors for a short term project. Actors will visit a site and follow a script for market research. Some mileage reimbursement and actors are paid $100/assignment. Actors will attend a 4 hour training for which they will receive $50. For consideration please forward your resume. Location: Washington, DC area it's NOT ok to contact this poster with services or other commercial interests Compensation: $100/assignment and some mileage
Ditto that. Community Organizer 44 will be getting the "W" treatment from me. The rats had no class and no respect when it came to their treatment of President Bush. What goes around comes around. Zero thinks he's fooling people with his "no more policitics as usual" B.S. Real Americans are waking up to this guy (a bit late I might add).
This is a veritable Free Republic lovefest ~ note, the software in this part looks remarkably like the setup at Yahoo.com WITHOUT the avatars and assorted junk pictures and space ~ more "businesslike" and "adult" but same old structure.
Any Freeper should learn to dig through this in a few moments.
Well then the democratic sites have a lot more to worry about than we do. Four letter words are the norm there.
this could get fun....
“The radiant Speaker, Pelosi, was brilliant and masterful in the way she held strong to her rule of a 48 hour wait to vote on bills. She showed great leadership in wanting to see something done for hurting American people before she jetted to Europe for her glorious acceptance of an award in Italy, and a peaceful meeting with the Pope.”
(okay— I must go heave now......)
They can start with mine. I’m sure it’s not PC enough. THAT was the point.
